Innovative breast cancer treatment comes to Alberta

Oncologists in Calgary are implanting radioactive seeds to eliminate remaining breast cancer cells in the weeks following removal of a breast tumour. This one-day treatment could be an alternative to several weeks of external radiation beam therapy.
