Which one do you think is the best???? I’m definitely curious to try the a7c II more.
My guess was right! And, I think, for me, the A7C II would be best out of the two, but still not sure it will top my A7s III !

Have you tried the Sony ZV-E1? I believe it is much better for CZcams content than the 7CII. I’ve used to make wedding and it is amazing the image quality

Sony colour spaces really pop for skin tone now. I was also impressed by the absolute clarity of this video in low light conditions. Im waking up to Sony now, thank you. A7c II at the top of my shopping list.
12:41 perfectly encapsulates why it doesn't matter which camera you buy. The end user can never tell the difference.
As the whole world begins to use AI and other tools. So too will your customers. They are brighter and sharper than you think. They can tell. And it translates immediately into an overall impression. if you fluff 1080p today it it can detract from any quality perception of brand.
The A7siii combined with the new 16-35 II is a killer combo. I recently got the A7siii and its gonna still be a work horse years to come. New cameras are great, but love the A7siii.
I own an A7SIII and an A7IV right now for video work. The SIII isn’t going anywhere-it’s basically the messiah of video cameras. The SII became legendary when it came out, and the SIII not only lived up to expectations of a successor, it exceeded them in some ways. A landmark of technology and definitely staying in my arsenal for years to come. I don’t like taking photos with it though, and that’s mostly because of the noise levels.
The A7IV is a different story. When I bought it, I wanted a hybrid shooter that can do great video and great photo. Problem is, the applications where I need a good B-cam for recording are long form (wedding ceremonies), and for whatever reason, the A7IV suffers from just enough thermal runaway that it’s not really usable in those scenarios. Since I’m starting to do more photo stuff recently anyway, I’ve really been digging my A7IV as an everyday/photo camera. But I miss the compactness of the A6300s that I started out with several years back (I sold one, but still keep another kicking around with a few lenses). I used my A6300 for a proper gig at the start of this year, and its compactness was critical for my ability to carry it into a place that did not allow “professional” photography. So I’m contemplating selling off or trading in my A7IV to spring for the A7CR. If my B-cam is going to be good for photos, I want something LEAGUES better than any phone camera out there, and the A7CR is literally the best you can get.
Oh, and I’ll probably get silver, because I love the idea of my photo camera having a slightly different aesthetic from my black A7SIII.
The Sony A7CR is something I've been dying for since I got the first A7C. Sony has the best cameras over everyone. I've tried Fujifilm and Canon but the color and look just never sat with me. I look the more cinematic look Sony delivers. So excited! God I'm going to be broke this fall. Apple event next month 😭

I take pictures with my 7Siii along with video and it takes great photos for what I want to use it for. I'd consider the 7C for a more compact travel camera. The Siii brings a lot of attention.
That commercial in between is one of the most brutal ad spots I’ve ever seen on a video🤦♂️ it’s like the video gets hijacked
The 10 bit update seems nice. Massive shame they didn’t update the EVF. The EVF has always been my biggest gripe with owning my a7c
Love the 10 bit update - but I lean the other way on the EVF. I wish they'd have just removed it completely
They actually *have* put in a new EVF, even though it doesn’t look like it at first glance. But the "window" if you will is a tad wider, and the actual screen is said to be larger as well. Acodring to the technical specs, the magnification and eye point have increased, both of which are very good things IMO.
Every modell has its limitations so a new marketing upgrade cycle can start and we can complain and applaud. Just know that😉

but, with the A7C's Family coming, i'm thinking again hahaha.
Hybrid use A6700 or A7IV IMO. Just depends if you need full frame. I have the A7IV personally and shoot 50/50 photo/video.@@jaymills1720

A7siii is what we’re sticking with for a while likely. These new cameras are great, but there’s not really any major advantage for a working professional shooting content for clients 😅
What about the fact that it's over sharpened 4k? How about zv-e1 which is seemingly the same camera but cheaper? Thanks.

Cool man! When comparing the performance at ISO 3200 you also have to look at dynamic range. A7SIII is outperforming the two new cameras when it comes to dynamic range at high ISO's (It looks like)
The evolution of cameras and CZcams. I remember when you were using the Canon 6D mkii then the bigger heavier 1DX then a small Sony FX3. Now the debate between these cameras 😊

6:12 The base ISOs on the A7III and FX3 are not the same. Yes, it is 640 on the A7III but it's 800 on the FX3.

9:39 Brother in Davinci Resolve you need to right click on the video clip and optimize media and then you’ll play smooth! Been editing on resolve on a M2 Max and had the same issue. I was like bro why my computer is an absolute unit

I just bought the Sony a7iv a week ago as my first camera ever. Should I send it back and get sony a7cii or keep it?
Looking too buy a camera for Content Creation jobs for brands, music artists and more...need a solid hybrid camera which performs well in all situations for video (low light etc...) but also want the option to be able to shoot photos on it as well for things such as cover images, carousels for IG...what would you recommend? Currently torn between the A7Cii and the ZV-E1...At the moment I'm leaning towards the A7Cii because it has a view finder and if I get some wedding gigs this may be super helpful when capturing photos....
Would love to hears thoughts opinions or even another camera option which may work better for that hybrid set up!
OK so this is 5 months old and there's 300 comments I haven't read so maybe someone answered this question for you. But in DaVinci, with effects like that you have to tell it you want it to render to the cache live by going to the Playback menu, Render Cache, and switching it to Smart. You can also sort fudge your playback resolution by reducing the timeline resolution during your edit then just bumping it back up for export.
Thank you so much for this video. I've been looking to switch systems from Nikon to Sony and planning to do it by the end of the year. Been leaning on getting A7CII or A7CR and I must say that this helped me decide more on which one to pick.

Last time I tried, the free Davinci Resolve is significantly slower than the full Studio version because it lacks some hardware decoding features.
Biggest thing to consider is at this point with the base model full frames coming in the same performance to the a7siii can only mean the a7siv is round the corner as the next release in spring 2024?

I think if u add a cage or some type of extra weight to the a7cii to make it a bit heavier I bet the stabilization gets better 👍 it will help with any micro jitters u get with a light camera
What's with the strong moire in the a7c2? Particularly noticeable in the sweatshirt in the iso tests... Is that from poor scaling or line skipping in camera or in post?
How well does the a7cii color match with fx30? and is the stabilization on the a7cii better than the fx30? I feel like the fx30 stabilization sucks.
Still rocking my original a7c and loving it! Sure these new cameras are "better" but I think most cameras are "good enough" these days.

To the editor, you're probably rendering the scene in full resolution I think there's a way to reduce the visual res or the debayering algo on your live view. Im not saying reduce your output res, its that small box you watch on thats rendering at full res and causes the slow I think
I'd be totally unsurprised if we literally have to wait 5 years for the next major sensor upgrade with the A7SIV/FX3II. Just like it took 5 years to get the current model it was such a huge quantum leap forward that it will take equally as long or longer to get the same jump in performance. But look how it's completely changed the game for us, every single camera now has 10 bit and is so much more capable than before. The trickle down effect has enabled me to get a7siii performance with the ZV-E1 for $1600 usd refurbished. That's f*king brilliant.
FX3II 6K resolution will come mid 2025🤙🏾
After years I bought the A 6700. And it ist a monster. Knunderstnd why sone fullframe fanboys are jealous. I had to decide to go with the FX 30 or A6700. The last one is more versatile and it works damned good. An absolute game changer.

I'm using a Sony a7cr What is the minimum and maximum noise suppression Iso when setting Flexible Iso, Cine S-Log3?
Re: the megapixel comparison, to be fair a closeup portrait shot wide open is gonna show the megapixel difference less than almost any other type of photo. And of course the beauty of the 60mp sensor is that you can crop in 2x on a photo and STILL have more detail than the a7S.

Now that the A9III is out with global shutter, what I would like to see is a 45-50 megapixel global shutter with oversampled 4k 24p, 60p, 120p in the FX3 body with open gate. It will be awhile before anyone do anything like that, but hopefully the future will come sooner than later. But maybe by then 8k is the norm and we would prefer oversampled 8k 24p, 60p, 120p from 12k. So FX3 is good for now. Though the Burano seems really interesting though, apart from it not being global shutter. I mean, 2x CF express type B? Internal ND with Inbody stabilization? Ai autofocus? Seems like what most of us are looking for, put all that in the fx3 body and put a global shutter and charge FX3 price for it. Let's see what the future brings.
the 16-35 GM is amazing and i am going to replace mine,however this new A7CII misses a lot of key specs to be a reliable camera,I would rather pick the mark one second hand for half the price.
If only you could record externally open gate like the lumix s5/S5ii, then the a7cii would be a great camera to transition to into the Sony system
Open Gate is pretty awesome. Worth consideration when comparing cameras for sure.

A7cii doesn't support type A card for 600mbps slog3 shoot smoothly. This is the biggest issue of this model.
@Mattih hii also please can you review A6700 with Ninja Atomos V+ to know if it really expands capabilities or the cam and if there higher resolution record capabilities when using Atomos with A6700 like the one with Canon EOS R6M2..

Amazing video! But honestly, from this comparison I got to disagree and say a7cR looks the best for video. The colors are way better than other two, and while it definitely is less sharp, it looks more "cinematic". Movies are not supposed to be super sharp, unless you want a specific look.

Just be careful that 4K 60p in A7C II is available only in APS-C(Super 35) mode which mean 1.5 crop. On the other hand in A7CR it is available only in FF with 1.2 crop and it is not available in APS-C mode. Yeah little confusing. 😀 Still I am considering switch to A7C II from my A7 III.

I feel like the sony A7CII could be the perfect tool for content creators, the specs are there, small body! ... Just pop that from your little bag, hit record and get things done quicker & easier ... If you're traveling a lot it's a no brainer ...
