    How would I go about discussing the detective them?

      Something inside tells me he is, but he's such an interesting construct you can link him to a lot of key themes in your argument, thanks to Mr. Salles for venturing into such detailed analysis about him of course, unlike most other english teachers out there!

      You need to adress both ao2, which is techniques but you also need to use AO3, which is the context at the time

    Hi sir, you always tell us to not start with the extract in questions, but you also tell us to write an argument that is chronological. So what if the extract is the first scene? or perhaps the first scene when a character is introduced? do you not start from the extract?

    could you say that in the incident at the window when jekyll transform into hyde is due to jealousy after seeing utterson with enfield, as his homosexual/repressed desires for utterson became uncontrollable so he transformed. it is also hinted when jekyll describe himself as "very low. it will not last very long,thank God", this low could mean that his control over his repressed desires are becoming 'very low' after seeing him with enfield.

    Where is Hyde described as dark in skin tone? (Why Hyde lives in Soho, ethnic prejudices, xenophobia) The only quote I can think of where his skin tone is described is 'pale and dwarfish' which supports the opposite. Thanks so much!

    how is Enfield getting up to no good at that moment? Is it because Men shouldn't stop to observe the action but carry on, minding their own business? Is it due to the context back then in the Victorian era which makes him evil to stop and watch the girl being trampled or the fact that he didn't try to save her?

      Neither. He has been to ‘the ends of the world’, a metaphor which means whatever Hyde has been up to, Enfield has probably been up to similar

      i dont remember exact wording but it was on his character, being dangerous and threatening . If it helps i chose to write how he is bad but also a paragraph on the contrary saying he is good but is morphed into bad through the repression of society.

    would you say that Jekyll killed Crew because crew could have been Jekyll's old lover and Jekyll might have suspected that crew was cheating on him so there was sense of jealousy because prostitution was quite normal in Victorian society and Utterson might have been the one crew was sexually attracted to as he was going towards Utterson to give him a letter when he could have just sent his butler
