i just love marys amish afaghans ijust wish she would come out with her own crochet book and the different color scheme
Love it beautiful
I don't know how to do what you're asking, but if I see it done I can do it. Most of the time if I can just get a close enough look I can figure out the stitches and what needs to be done. I can't make sense out of breeding patterns. So many of them have been wrong or rely on the person trying to do it to know how to get from one stitch to the other at the turnaround, or do you know what to do when it comes to a certain point that is a detail that they fail to write down, so I just gave up trying to read patterns. I can read a graph, I think.
There's so many free patterns on Pinterest exactly like this one!
love it. wish you had shown finished product
I am currently crocheting a sample of the afghan for the Leisure Arts Blog as soon as I have it finished I will post a link to it here.
I am going to try one in browns to white
You also can get the pattern from Leisure arts. The pattern was sold in the late 70"s or early 80's. I have the leisure arts pattern. It is called the Lacey Chevron
got the book as a download then look at hers and you will know how to make it.
So, if I wanted to make a larger size of the Lacy Chevron what is the stitch count? It doesn't give a multiples of in the description just the total foundation chain number. Is it multiples of 20 plus 6?
I'm not 100% certain but I found this information on a website about the lacy chevron that may help you...
It states that the lacy chevron should be calculated in sets of 18 plus six. To do a test run, make a chain of 50 (42+6). Place 3 dcs in the sixth chain from the end. Skip 2 chains, place 3 dcs in the next chain, and then repeat the process from the skip one more time. Read more ---

This pattern isn't Mary's ( Breaking Amish) she only was crocheting it. The pattern was Designed by Sister Mary F.Strecker I do believe around 1985,she also has other afghan patterns out there that I'm searching for. However for the lacy Chevron I'll use one of the free patterns on Pinterest that's exactly like this one.
