Who else has that problem where you sound good in real life but when you record your singing you sound totally Ummmm idek😤🙃😂
🤣😭
Meee 😂
Me tooo
The most most most relatable comment ever........
It always happen with me...😢😢
Its because when you speak and hear yourself speak in real life, you hear your voice differently to your actual voice. When u record your voice and play it back, you sound weird because thats your actual voice
A lot of people hear themselves and think they suck and forget that it's a long journey to becoming a good singer. It takes time, commitment, perseverance and a consistency.
Like everything in this life
@@eouripis I tell that to my daughter and I get the eye roll every time haha
@r0zi_lla plenty of great singers that many would say suck that (Will I am - admits can't sing without auto tune, Biz Markie horrible singer but so fun to listen to, my fav David lee Roth has a great story of sucking before he put in the effort). Getting past your mind is key to growth. You don't need to be a great singer to be a great musician.
step 1:
have a good voice tone😍
Pitch ,was never a problem for me ,I can listen to a complex run and correctly identify all the notes in that run .But I just cant sound like im singing when I sing. Its not that bad either (not as bad as a dying duck) ,but I just can't sound like im singing.its like im hitting the correct notes with my speaking voice and it doesn't sound pleasant. Its super frustrating.
I had the same problem, i worked on my vocal placement and it improved alot. Try watching videos about forward vocal placement. I don't know if it's possible to work on it alone or not cause i had a vocal coach helping me.
@@hakamshakir oh God they all said the same thing 🤣 ,they'll demonstrate a forward placement (their version of a forward placement!!!!🤣) they can't even sing. They'll tell you to "put the sound on your cheek, feel the vibration in the cheekbone","nyah, nyah, nyah" "nggggggGaaa, nggggggGaaa, exercises🤓".Some tell you to " lift the soft palete "," relax the soft palete",some even say ,to achieve forward placement"no air should come through the nose" but singers can hum with forward placement, it sounds warm ,beautiful and interesting ,yet all the air comes out through the nose when you hum.The more I watched these videos the more confused I become🤣.I just wanted to sound beautiful😭
@@MineCraft-nz9pg Exactly, It's way more complicated than just lifting the soft palette up. This is why i recommend doing it with a coach because it'd take way less time with someone guiding you the right way. It took me a couple of weeks to be comfortable holding that position when singing. And till now i still forget to hold it in some songs.
Maybe you should record yourself when you sing or exercise
@@Zaken3476 oh God I have 500 plus recordings of my voice ,its much better than when I first started but I never sound like a singer ,not that I want to sound like a certain pop singer.
I 100% agree with the recording yourself part. I have recordings all the way back from middle school (they're not amazing 😃) but not only does it help you analyze what you need to improve, it's a good way to track your progress and see how far you've come!
definitely!!! I still cringe everytime I listen to myself sing haha, but comparing to old videos, I've improved tremendously! :)
This! Recording my voice has helped improve my singing overall especially with unconscious flat/sharp notes I keep doing.
I'm at a point where my months old recordings is much better than how I sing now, I'm freaking out and the more I care about how I wanna become a good singer, the more bad my voice becomes, I really want to have a vocal coach but my circumstances do not agree with me, I've been listening to vocal coaches videos on CZcams for a long time now and it isn't helping much
@@lisam8608 hmm I'm not a professional by any means, but my 2 cents are maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself. It's good to push yourself to get better but you may be forcing it. Especially if you end up imitating say maybe an artist you like. Our voices change but if you think yours is changing negatively make sure your not hurting your voice. I don't know if you wanted a response, but take it with a grain of salt :)
@@leximo_ Thank you for replying to me, it's true that I'm putting pressure on myself, I'm not trying to imitate anyone but being surrounded by poeple who are naturally gifted definitely took a toll on myself esteem, although I have a pleasant tone of voice, I don't know how to use it, how to control my breath and pitch or how to give enough support, so my voice is weak and vocal exercises isn't helping me, I know you're not a professional or anything, I just feel like I have to vent to someone about how bad my voice is :')
Getting past the cringiness of hearing your own voice recording is the hardest part imo. I feel once I get past that, I will do much better. But just like developing your voice takes time. Building the confidence also takes time!
You got this!
Try singing from your diaphragm first and controlling your abs..I thought I hard a raspy voice later turned out I packed control
Aswear
the problem with me is that im too scared to sing loudly, like at a karaoke place with my friends id try to belt (and prob fail) but if im with strangers (even in my own room bc my walls are thin) im too scared to sing loud
My problem is raspiness. It's super annoying because it feels like my throat is blocking me from doing so many good things I would be able to do otherwise. I blamed it on sickness for a while (aftereffect or something) but it's been a little too long. I've tried a lot of things but it doesn't really help.
Develop it man. Raspy voices sound so good!!
have you ever heard maya hawke sing? she sounds amazing and has a really nice raspy voice. you can get there and most of us are in the same boat as you.
You should sing heavy metal
Have you heard hailey reinhart? She has a raspy voice and it's absolutely gorgeous
Work on vocal cord closure to smooth things out. That said, you probably have a naturally raspy aspect to your voice and that’s great too!
You truly taught me how to sing from my diaphragm. My range has increased immensely. Thank you so much, Zane.
u dont sing from your diaphram!!!
The diaphragm is a muscle that contracts upon inspiration. I’ve never understood how anyone can sing with their diaphragm.
@@sherimowery3251 yeah if u sang with your diahpragm you'd be dead!
She said sarcasticlly..😂😂that she can sing from diaphragm..😅😂
i need to know, and i don't understand. is it necessary to sing with diaphragm?
Your teaching style is so gentle😭
Just what I needed when I came back to singing.
How did you get start up bro
I don't sing well by ANY means but what is helping me is by just practicing songs in parts (ex. certain runs or melodies), recording myself and listening back (I know listening to yourself can be cringey but it helps), experimenting with vowels (mouth positions and stuff lol)...I need a coach lol because I really want to get better.
Is it really possible to be a good singer from bad voice
@@sushilkunwar9165yes look up 2 year transformation he had bad voice
Amazane you really are an amazing vocal tutor (positive and energetic)! I like the way you deliver your topic. You do really analysed each and every parts of sounds. I am a big fan of you.
thank you for giving us lessons ❤️
Omg God you inspire me, I learned how to record my own voice with your tips thanks a lot from Brazil ♥️🇧🇷
Very sympathetic and very pretty person you are and thank you so much for explaining good/undeveloped singer 💗
Your are a really nice person , love your way of explaining 💕✨
You have such a heavenly voice. Thank you for your videos 💕
Really great video! This helped a ton!
Thanks so much this is sooo encouraging🤓
Amazing singer Zane she have a beautiful voice Keep it up girl 👍
Hell yaas , I’m so excited that you’re coming back,
I have always wanted to sing the national anthem at an NHL game I love all the singers voices and I want to be there in the crowd as I say true north. The thought always runs through my mind among the other goofy things up here. I will keep practicing until i have the opportunity.
I am in love with your coaching technique, this video spoke all about my flaws, people say i got a good voice but i don't know how to control my singing. Moreover, i really don't hear myself when i sing, thanks for the recording tip💕
Thanks very much for your great advice!
I love you😭😭😭😭thanks for this
Thank you so much for that! God bless you! ❤
Great video. Thank you. 🙌🙏
Beat and rhythm is also very important
Thank you for the encouragement that anyone can sing well T-T
I LOVE singing and music basically more than anything, and I was one of those younger kids who thought you had to be born with a good voice, but Im glade thats not true, and I 100% agree with this video!
Just listened to 2 podcasts of u Zane 😊really helpful - all about singing passion & you tube for beginners - like your style - wit - passion many thanks x will try a few hash tag tips ! ❤
love your bad singing example, it is so bright youthfull and sweet , much love
The thing is I'm good at singing when I don't try so hard, like when I'm focused on something or I'm doing something I sing and I've heard ppl say I've got a good voice
then when I actually take the time watch a singing video that helps my singing and I try I'm bad ._.
I’m the same. Everytime I step infront of the mic I’m like FFS where has it gone!
@@RRADOMAL lmaoo exactlyyyy
very nice approach and great state of mind, thank you !
I don't think I'm a bad singer but i have a hard time singing with a good technique, i also kinda destroyed my voice a few years ago by belting out notes without warming up or knowing what to doy did that for a long long time. And now meh whenever i sing i need to take rests for a few days and take strict care of my voice because it just hurts. Idk how to sing "healthy" even though I've watched so many videos on how to do that. Can't even get a vocal coach lol
Warm water, honey & lemon 🍋 🍯
I don’t know I'm a good singer or not but mostly in your channel you are so beautiful. I fall in 🥰🤧
Definitely listen to the key and try and imitate it when you're practicing. Also for me I think being in choir helped me and the first time I listened to a voice recording of myself I felt like crawling in a hole. My aunt recently told me when I was young like about 12 she said I sang a note that made her cringe. 😂 However, she said I've improved now.
😂😂😂
I cant sing loud and powerful i think Thats really broke my confidence about singing. If u make any video about that it can help me and other people who struggle with that. For example i never belt while singing because my voice crack
Mee me it's me what's with you is up with me too. I sound good when I sing low but it gets worse when i raise voice
same I normally restrain my voice from going louder. Not only is it because I live in an apartment so I can’t sing loudly, but it’s also because singing loudly tends to hurt my ears.
I think a lot of people can relate to this. I hope somebody answers this question
Other aspects to remember:
A. Your internal muscles need to support your singing.
B. Don't constrict or force things, the clearest tones and loudest voices come most effortlessly. They come there by technique and practice, not by forcing things.
C. Your upper register muscle and your lower register muscle need training, too.
@@XGD5layer how to do that training?
That was a good video ! 👍🏾 Niice
Thankyou so much. I am a beginner to singing . I love singing everytime I am free.🙂
You were so funny at the beginning! Thanks so much! So helpful!!!
Finally I have been waiting for your video for months
In this video it sounds really easy to learn it but after nearly 3 years of singing with a teacher I got perfectly trained just the first skill and only now starting the second one but in one thing she’s right: if you really like to sing you will never give up
I feel like one of my main problems w singing is overall confidence. I played the flute before and my teacher told me that I had trouble getting the right sound because I lacked confidence which made it harder for me to blow an equal amount of air. Working on it tho ❤
Beautiful ❤️
Tama! Very well said, practice makes perfect and thats also what im doing
SINGING COMES FROM UR EMOTIONS
LIKE IT SOMETIMES JUST COMES OT OF YOU THE WAY U LIKE IT AND IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD
Thanks again Zane
Good vs underdeveloped!! I LIVE for that ❤
Thank you very much.
Your video is very informative. :)
I've always only had people tell me I suck, but never why or lie that I sound good, but not how.
:(
I don't have anyone anymore now. Other than my daughter who tells me I sound beautiful all the time. Haha
Very informative and good that you say positive criticism/critique should be taken. :)
Hello ate zane omg I love your videos ❤️❤️
thank you for your advice lessons
Thanks dear for motivation
20,000% spot on. It’s hard for me when people around me hear someone singing and think they are singing good. You know what I’m talking about they look at you and say aren’t they great aren’t they good? Well I don’t wanna pop anybody’s bubble but half the time it’s for the two reasons that you mention. First they have bad pitch and the second being that they sound badly while trying to belt songs out instead of singing them. I feel better now that I heard someone else explain it so well as you have thanks have a great day.
Thanks for the tips.
Idk why but whenever i record myself it sounds so bad but in my head it sounds good-
👁👄👁
I have a video explaining that!!
@@AmaZaneChannel oh thanks for telling me😊
Wow
@@AmaZaneChannelWhat's it called?
Because you are hearing through your bones, the recording version is more accurate for how other people hear you
thanks sister.you solved my problem
you sing really good🥰😍
I had a vocal couch and she is great. Our music didn’t have the vibe ya know. She had me sing stuff like My favorite things from the sound of music which is a great song but it doesn’t fit my voice because it goes higher and my voice is a pretty deep voice for a female
You need more alto stuff, maybe contralto. Maria Carey is a really technical singer but for some reason I prefer singers like Whitney Huston who can command their range at nearly all dynamic levels. No good if you can just belt a supposed 8 octaves and I find her voice harsh at times.
@@phoenixrising4995 I’m actually a soprano so I guess I just need to Tailor the song to my voice with shouldnt be too hard
*that awkward moment when the "bad singing" sounds better than anything I'm currently capable of*
But i did the same mistake in my vocal lesson when my coach said more high, powerful and increase your volume, i raise my head to increase my volume but he said no, you can do more higher note with more power and volume without raising your head and he was right, i didn't move my head and i hit the high note and volume he wants me to do
Tysm!❤️🔥
Thank you very much 🙏❤🌺
Thank you so much
Nice initiative ! Congratulations from India.
Could you do a video on tips for “advanced singer’s” ?
Thank you ! X
I'm usually on pitch and my tone isn't bad either but I feel like my voice just needs to be stronger, more powerful and supported.
Nice video thanks madam, make more videos like this on same Topic.
wow you're really good at this. and very pleasant asmr speaking voice too
I kinda understand the devolpe part, when I was 5 all the way until recently when I decided to record me singing for the first time I found out my singing voice improved, then I strained my voice less than a month later. This was cringey but I showed my mum my voice recording showing her I knew how to sing hoping she can fix it. Then I asked if I used to sing that well a while agoqnd she said no.
I literally devolped an okay singing voice in short time that's passed from singing Encanto songs 😭😭😭.
My biggest problem is not being able to control my voice. Like I can identify when there is a difference between the way I am singing and the way it actually is, like the pitch or tone or anything, but the problem is that idk how to make my voice sound like that. I sometimes go off-key and can see it but idk how to be on-key.
3:58 I explain this to people a lot - you can hear the parts you dislike, so you gotta try to identify how to fix it, retry saying it, and if you don't hate it as much, it's probably gotten better.
WRT recording on your cellphone (tons of people in Frankfurt, Germany and artists in general here avoid recording on a phone (any instrument) saying the device is low quality, but they're just scared)
You're great girl 🙂💕
"How To Be A Good Singer"
The video: "Don't sing bad and try this website"
K thx I guess
Your video helped me a lot, but as a clarinet player things like pitch or pleasant voice I already know it but through my instrument. I have a great breath control so too. I think when you play an instrument like flute or anything with your breath it can help a lot.
I have a question, what about a singing coach? How do we find one? Going through the lessons online won't help use figure out our issues if no one is there to help identify issues 😅
The problem is also to hit high notes and just get better at singing is by singing from your stomach, not ur throat.
I would like to see more of you teaching others
You should observe one of the tongan, samoan, and new zealand , its a best to learn the notes and the tunes of their voice . Just an advice to help you out . Lol its awesome
This is great.
i love your content so much
Thank you
I have a range of around 2 octaves, and I can sing on tune, but I feel like my voice when I sing just sounds really ordinary... 😭 kind of like how I talk normally? How do I develop a more pleasant kind of voice? Like how you have a kind of honeyed tone lol how do you do that? I'm half-Filo myself (tho i grew up elsewhere) and i've never understood how you do this.
I needed this video
Ad before this video: “The problem is people try to learn how to sing from random CZcams videos!”
Me: 👁👄👁
I can do high note and sing vibrato but my vibrato isn't stable, when i have my singing lesson i understand why, i breath with my upper body whe i sing so i raise my soulder and i didn't see it before my coach pointed my bad habbit to singing andadvise me to breath with my belly! I did it and my vibrato sounds more stable, i was happy to see my improvement
One thing about singing is the spirit and mood also.
THANK you. FINALLY
Love from arunachal Pradesh India.❤❤❤❤
I love this. As an amateur singer trying to work my way pro all I hear daily is obsessive annoying comments about how my pitch is off. It literally is all people can fixate on yet not once have I ever been told my tone is bad. Not once.. yet I continue to be ridiculed and shamed for my struggle with pitch. My vibrato and power can knock down an apartment complex yet it's never noted or taken into any consideration. What I invite people to understand is tone does matter just the same. I agree pitch is important but as illustrated in this video you can have bang in pitch but if the rest isn't there then it really doesn't matter. Pitch is NOT everything.
I have a very good high voice, like Ariana grande notes. I’m just bad at holding them. It’s undeveloped. Although I could be a good singer if I tried. My deep notes are horrible. Like the lovely from Billie elish, those notes that go, “Oh I hope some day I’ll make it out of here” I’m bad at that part but when she goes “isn’t it lovely, all alone” I’m good at that. Also, I feel that I can’t sing loud either. Any tips??
Some great points here (:
ah i know how i can go in high note, i can do high note, i have soprano voice, but i can't do belting, neither run and riff, i can sing ballad with high note as a beginner but i don't try at all mariah carey etc as a beginner, i can't do that, i don't have the technique! And i sing with my head high voice that sounds sweet and i like it
Your voice is very beautiful ❤😊
The one with the bad “tone” kinda reminded me of Brittany Spears 🫣
Absolutely right that Kndiscicered last year its all about right iractuce under right guidance right technique and playing learning musical instrument helps a lot in developing music sense, consistency helps nithung is possible without consistency !
Your voice is 10000000000000x better then mine 😊🙏🏻
Im mostly curious on HOW do you develop your voice
I gotchu! (More videos coming soon to answer this)
You are amazing! I love that you showed us your sucky moments 😂😂😂
