Great to have you back. Please please please do a reaction video of Voice Plays original songs,,...Voice Play/ one minute musical " Miley Cyrus, music & lyrics are by Geoff & it is hilarious. Also Voice Play / one minute musical : Light Bulb, music & lyrics are by Eli. He originally wrote it as an educational piece with a fun twist. They were done in 2015. Because they are short you can do them both in one sitting. Last ..Voice Play Stuck In Traffic music & lyrics are by Layne & (Tony , who was a former member of Voice Play. now he is part owner with Layne of Patty Cake studio. It is hilarious. It's about 3 minutes or so. Not really requested because very few know about them. I have been trying to get the word out but nobody will play them. They don't know what they are missing. Everybody keeps.focusing on the new ones.
You have been greatly missed. I was so excited to see you back reviewing Geoff and Voice play. Cannot wait for part 2. So many of the Voice Players enjoy your commentary. Don't worry, we haven't left......just waited for you to pop back up and miss us.
So good to see you back! It will be fun to watch you catch up. And your actual job might come into play later with “ Valhalla Calling”. The filmed in front of LED walls with Eli’s work in Unreal Engine. So a little expertise in that could be interesting.
I would suggest using a bolder font for written comments on screen. Too hard to read Or maybe a bit of darker background behind it?
Stanger Things. They had fun with this set keeping the floor wet like in The Inbetween. Ashley levitating at the end is all Laynes' creative filming. Part 2 made me cry. Cesar was so mournful. Geoff said there was lots of weeping during the editing. Omars' big brother has a beautiful voice. They need to get Omar and EJ together in a video. Even with no words, it's so fun. They used the mask from Kidnap The Sandy Claws in the branches of the trees. Layne and his killer carrot. The Stairwell Siren. The Haunted Mansion is set at Patty Cake Productions. Geoffs' laugh at the end perfection.
They've done a few minis that were all music, no lyrics, and also the Halo Theme.
A VP marathon with you was a good way to start my day off today! Glad you've got the time to catch up. I'll be keeping a lookout for part 2! ❤
I love their Halloween stuff! And really, they've been putting out some crazy good stuff lately! They always keep raising that bar!
First, understand that I rarely know the songs that Voiceplay covers. I'm old and haven't kept up with what the youngsters are doing.
Running Up That Hill - loved the special effects, Ashley was amazing, the harmonies were wonderful and we got to hear Layne sing!
I Can't Make You Love Me - this was just so sad. They did shoot a final scene, last verse, on the back porch of that house at sunset, but it didn't convey the right mood. This is the only one they've ever done where they weren't all seen together
In the Hall of the Mountain King - they've done silly before, but this was beyond the pale. Elizabeth has sung with them before, but has only been on screen for Just Sing. She's been used before when super duper high was needed. This was Layne's arrangement, but Geoff wrote that last swing section.
Hide and Seek (Ding Dong) - was a last minute addition. Nothing Else Matters was supposed to be their Halloween piece but J None's leave was cancelled. Layne pulled this together. Lauren was in Tennessee, Layne flew out to record her on green screen and rushed back to hunker down before the hurricane hit.
I enjoyed this so much! I was afraid that you would ust figure you missed some so might as well move on.

i think VoicePlayas will be here for you! I Can't Make Love Me is VoicePlay's quiet masterpiece. Absolutely love In the Hall of he Mountain King - have since I was in band 55 years ago. Love Stranger Things - really good series and this was one of the powerful songs for the characters. hide and Seek was fun.

"Running up that hill" is a Kate Bush's song originally released in 1985, hence the sound so "80s-ish". I loved the original, and loved this version. I never watched "Stranger things" so I don't get those references, but I like it nonetheless. 🙂
"I can't make you love me" is so beautiful, even being heartbreaking. And the subject is something so many can relate... But it gives 1) the "description" of a mature attitude towards the issue, and 2) an unresolved ending, suggesting "the world won't end there", it will be painful and bitter and whatever, but it's not te end of everything. 🙂
"In the hall of the Mountain King" is an orchestral piece from Gynt's "Peer Gynt", they turned it into an hilarious masterpiece of storytelling without words. I just love it. Super fun and at the same time weirdly virtuosistic. 😅
"Ding dong - Hide and seek" was dope, yes. During the last part, when lots of ghosts are flying in the room, the high background notes are performed by Elizabeth of The Charismatic Voice. The whole video is kinda eerie, and at the same time so funny and light. I love this ability of Voiceplay to mix these characteristics in their stuff. They have a nice sense of humour. 🙂

@@CJayBass Did you take notice in the very beginning of Running Up The Hill as Ashley was closing the cassette it had Voice Play written on it. I had to go back in SLOw motion & freeze it to actually catch it. They always seem to put in an Easter egg in their videos. Also In The Hall Of The Mountain King in the very beginning Eli comes out holding a carrot & wanted to drop it in the pot but Elizabeth plucks it out of his hand. She knows what would happen if he did. That is exactly what happened in the end when Layne throws the carrot in the pot they all blew up in smoke. Also Cesar standing next to Layne was taunting him. He put something in the pot & gave it to Layne to drink & made him drunk & slapped him on the back. These guys are so much fun to watch.
Funny thing, but true, seriously! I did think earlier today about both a re-listening to Running Up That Hill and somewhat later, wondering what had happened to you. You popped up and then went away again.

Hide And Seek you need to listen to the Bass Gang rendition ad well. They released their version within weeks from VP- also with Lauren Paley! Unbeknown to each other she collaborated with both group. Totally different, but equally good. VP congratulated them on their cover.

Nice to see you again. The first one is an old song from Kate Bush that was used in Stranger Things. If you don't know the series you won't understand the references. The second is one that Cesar requested they do, and Geoff arranged for them. So beautiful, and what a contrast to their latest, Valhalla Calling. The unresolved ending is just so right. If you've ever been in that situation it moves you to tears. Garozzo is said more like Garrotso. In The Hall of the Mountain King is an orchestral piece, written for the play Peer Gynt, which VP decided they could do with just voices. Amazing. And so much fun. Yes the Ding Dong was the song from the stairwell and they've set it to Disney's Hauted Mansion which I think Geoff once used to appear in.
My hubby likes your voice. Thinks you could be an announcer. I always want to go through the video and give Cesar tissues. He sounds so broken hearted. I tear up every time. (2nd song I Can't Make You Love Me)
