  • Hey Sinners! Here is a comparison of Viva Las Vengeance when it was first played versus the livestream in Everybody needs a place to go. It was crazy! Also it says NOW, but the livestream was a recording of the Chicago Tour. Which is not the latest. but it's still good either way!!!
    I am planning to redo the video after the final tour as tribute to viva being less than a year before panic! disbanded...

    He was so nervous on the Today Show. It was his first public appearance in 3 years, let alone first live performance in 3 years.

      And it was like 8am in the morning, i think there's pretty much a reason why live performances are usually in the evening.

    A huge difference I haven’t seen anyone mention is the Today Show is filmed at 8:30 in the morning. It’s really hard to get warmed up that early. He lost access to his higher register before the second chorus and was depending on his mixed voice. Dude still got through the song, gotta respect that.

      Sound check was even earlier, so he had to be "on" for hours starting at around 5 a.m. The soundcheck was in front of those of us who were there, so it wasn't a no-stress deal for him. He did sound great in soundcheck.

    Brendon sang the whole song live perfectly during the Today Show rehearsals so he can definitely do it totally live. Nerves or something must’ve hit during the actual performance though. It’s such a shame since he sang the rest of the show perfectly. I think that first Viva performance scared him enough that after that he stuck to having a backing track for the chorus on tour.

      @@maddieieieieieie Yeah it's mainly the prerecorded vocal you can hear though, which for me just takes all the fun out of the performance. But I mean, I love the tracks, it's fine that they aren't possible to sing live night after night, I'd rather they exist and he released them instead of rewriting the whole album to suit a live performance. I'm sure he has that in mind now though and the next album will be full of stuff he can sing live

      @@maddieieieieieie I've seen a bunch of fan made videos from the tour too where it's obvious he is just mouthing the chorus, especially for DLTLGO, and is putting no effort at all into singing it. Again though, I really don't care, because at least the songs exist. It seems they are litteraly impossible to sing well live without passing out or needing a week to recover 😂. But then when he sings the AFYCSO medley, wow he sounds incredible, and way better then the original recordings

  • @basicskellie
    @basicskellie Před 9 měsíci +11

    The chorus in the latest one is definitely lip synced or sung quietly over the track :,) I know the original recording like the back of my hand. you can hear the difference between 4:56 and 5:24

  • @nikogrimaldi7495

    Isn’t the Chicago live stream chorus either lip sync or playback?

    • @lovepanic2738
      @lovepanic2738 Před rokem +10

      Neither. Mike, Jake and Rachel who sing on (and Mike and Jake co-wrote) the album were on tour so they are singing. There are more layers of vocals at certain parts than the 4 of them can sing so there is backing track at a few parts but other than that everything is live. No lip syncing.

      in terms of like technique and protecting his voice considering how damanged it was on the Recording, it was probs a necessity so he could do it night after night and Keep doing it
