This definitely works but some important tips I would recommend everyone!
Always start with a room temperature bottle. Trying to heat up a cold bottle will always end up with a crack or breakage.
Use a torch lighter but rotate the bottle while you are heating it up or you will crack it.
Also stop heating the moment it starts lifting up. The heat will naturally push it about 3/4 of the way out.
Hold the bottle with a rag with one hand (it’s gonna be blazing hot) and control the cork with your other hand.
LET THE BOTTLE COOL- if you try to pour the wine straight away the cold/room temp wine will react with the hot glass and probably shatter and that’s no good.
If you’re a little bit impatient like me- heat a rag up with hot water and start rubbing the hot neck of the bottle, this allows the wires to cool down more evenly and once it becomes cool enough to touch you can toss it in the freezer or cold water bath to get it to drinking to temperature.
    Enjoy and stay safe!

Hey, if you're reading the comments before watching the video., just wanted to let you know that you should just heat the sides of the bottle neck where the cork is located with a regular lighter for about 5 minutes while rotating the bottle, and then while the sides are still hot just push the cork in with a skinny butter knife. This makes it super easy to open, otherwise the bottom of the cork will burn, and drop tiny pieces of melted cork in the wine.

А я мучился ! А я мучился ! А оказалось элементарно просто ! Ещё бы и консервные банки научили бы открывать нашу братву без ножа !

Tried this method (didn’t have a torch) burned my fake nail and thumb from the heat of the flame. It did not work! However after a few minutes of trying that with no success and by the way top of my cork was starting to crumble from failed attempts from a cork screw. I got a butter knife wedged it in the side as deep as I could go and pushed the wedge of the knife to the opposite side, and Wala it pulled the cork a quarter of the way up. Then I went to the other side of the quark and did the same thing , it went up half way then went to another side and pulled up 3/4 then I easily pulled the rest out with my hand. The most satisfying feeling when I got it out🤣
