So cute, Barbara. Ephy is having a wonderful time helping with the prompts. Thank you for sharing. 🙂❤️
Best way to start my morning with a huge smile and big grins. I am SO going to make paperdolls when I have my christmas break. You ARE talented, and passionate, and a hard worker too, and BRAVE and a big big inspiration for me, crafting wise but definitely your personality with amending the happy little accidents as Bob Ross taught us.
Aaaaw thank you! ❤️☺️
Thank you, Barbara, for inspiring me and showing that mistakes can be fixed. I love what you do.
Great remedy for avoiding another page! Well done, as usual! I too love when I hear OH NOOOO and then your comment or giggle. Priceless!
Your "little king" is "testing HIS limits". He only has one wing, but I have no doubt he can fly! Thanks for your inspiration. Hugs from Texas.
So true: Play with your art supplies and it amazing how creative you become! Words to live by. Thanks so much for sharing your creative makes! Love your work!🙏💗😊
Fantastic flip page for todays project in Dephemerember Both sides are very creative and makes you smile. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 😍 ❤️ nice 👍 ❤
Such a jolly lady and I'm sure her laughter is contagious in real life. 🎉😂😂
So clever! It makes me want to know what that lady was laughing at. It must have been hilarious! I just love the whimsy of both sides of this card.
It'll always be Brayed Furlap to me... ALWAYS! 😉🤗
Love you, angel, MomK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Aaaaaw! Love you! ❤️
Same!
Oh both pictures are just fabulous! You definitely have the passion of a great artist. That passion comes through with every piece of art you create. And this flip is no exception! Hugs 🤗❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️
She’s adorable! Love it.
This is such a freakin cool idea!!! Awwww! Have to give this a try! So fun to watch!
Thank you, little JJ sista! ❤️☺️
This page brings a great big smile to my face. It is so fun.
So much fun today! I love your ideas for this prompt.❤
I use that clear gesso as a ground for soft pastels. The grittiness help pastels to layer on the paper.
I enjoyed watching this flip up card being created. You have given me so many ideas, Barbara. I love the lady’s legs and the boys spectacular outfit. Thanks so much for all your suggestions and creative ideas. What a delightful 2023 journal you have made.
Thanks so much! ❤️
I really enjoyed how you pieced your dolls together! So cute! 🤩🤩🤩
Love when you cut out bits for your pieces. This is such a creative idea! Passion and work = talent. You are so inspirational. My favorite clear gesso is little birdie, its not very gritty. Thank you for sharing
I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. The lady makes me think of my grandma❤️
Love the flip up ❤
With those darling stockings she could be Pippi Longstocking's grandma! I love how this one turned out!
I have loved every page you have done. Thank you for sharing
I agree, i go into my craft room and experiment with what I have ... i do not have the supplies you and Luise have. I have creativity with repurposing paper and what others would truly call junk. I am aware of your passion, it shines!!! Since highschool art classes, i have been in a creative space: fabric, paper, canvas, re upholstery etc. Junk journalling since 2020! Flip up was a good idea, turned out well!❤jeannie
Love the flip out idea!
I totally agree about talent - you have to create to create ❤ and when you junk “do”, you discover things & find your own style ❤❤ I love your results again today. You really are very talented - or rather - I love the way your creative talent works 😊❤❤
Such a fun flip out. The little boy has a Klimt vibe which I love.
Love the way you altered the large playing card today!!!!! So much fun!!!!!
Absolutely love the butterfly king.
I THINK what may come across as talent is actually a "good eye" on what looks good! I often struggle to know what looks good, what is balanced and what I might want to end up with. I am always inspired by your work because of your end product. I know it doesn't always come easy to you but it always ends up very NICE! Hugs from Texas.
Thanks so much! ❤️
I'm getting ideas just by watching you create. I also love the 'Oh, not!' from you. 😊 And then you come up with a solution.
Create page flip! Now I need to find my large playing cards... You inspired me to find those some years ago. 😊
Yay! Have fun! 😃❤️
@@49dragonfliesLove your giggle too. You have the most infectious giggle - always makes me smile, especially when you use the little munchkin effect 🤭
Love the flip, works wonderfully
Looks like both of you you and Ephy i’m having a good time making these props and coming up with great fun ideas
We are! 😃❤️
Great insight and advice on talent v passion. Thank you.
Liebe Barbara, dieses Lachen ist sehr ansteckend! Hilft über den grauen, windigen und regnerischen Tag hinweg! Danke dafür und für eine weitere kurzweilige und lehrreiche Inspiration! Lieben Gruß ! Rita 💌
So much whimsy!! Love how you tackled this prompt as well as the challenge of having limited space! This flip up is a brilliant solution and so fun! Love it!🥰
Perfection! Thank you!❤
Although I agree with you that art takes hard work like everything, some have more raw talent to work with. Many people can be runners but not all will be Olympians. Don't sell yourself short! P.S. Love the fun page!
oh, this one made me smile! I am learning so much, and appreciate your time with us x
Loved this! So much fun and thanks so much for that fabric hinge tip because I'm working on flip ups in my journal today.
This was such a freeing project to watch
Very Alice in Wonderland’esque! Especially with those stripey legs 🧦 Fun & extremely creative energy to the flip. I wonder what those people would think if they were able to peek at their photos now ✨
This is a great way to add a page. Very beautiful
Beautiful result Barbara! You can actually get an 'oxide- effect' with watercolours! If you are comfortabele using watercolours (I have been for years now), you can get fantastic effects with table salt, sea salt, wet on dry technique and rubbing alcohol. It's magical.😉 Distress oxides are great of course, but also relatively expensive, and good watercolours go a looooong way! 😊
Thanks for the reminder! ❤️
Such fun! ❤
I actually LOL'd when Ephy "walked" away and then "walked" back 😂
Oh how i loved what you said about talent and all the hard work and passion that goes into something!!! I am a crafter (when i have time 😝) and everyone always says the same about me. But they dont see all the trial and error i do - or my busy mind thinking about it 😂🤣😂 LOVING your video's Barbara 💕
Love how it turned out, just fabulous❄☃💙
Love it
This project is amazing. I just love the digital photos and how you dress them up. It reminds me of paper dolls from my childhood. If this is not vintage and modern I don’t know what is. Love it❤
What a delightful flip up. That laughing lady is wonderful! A person can't help but smile! I like all the little details you added, buttons, sign with string, wings. How fun is that!
You have developed your passion to a point that makes it 'look' easy, but if people would think about it, they would realize that you have done 'the work' to get to where you are on your creative journey.
This is favorite of all your Dephemerember makes Barbara! It's so joyful and solemn too!
Thank you! ❤️☺️
The lady gives me a bit of a circus feel. I like it and laugh when you say "Oh noo"
I love both these images you ave created, very inspiring. I also very much appreciated the reminder that you need to play with your supplies, to come up or develop an idea and that it can take time to get there😊🙏💖
Awe message received on passion versus talent.
This was fun...love the idea of using the large playing card. It would be so fun to use in a concertina journal, or tab journal. I am so enjoying Ephy's adventures. Very creative ...and I must admit. When I hear OH No...I enjoy seeing you solve the issues. Wishing you and Merry Christmas xo, Julie
Thank you and Happy Holidays! ❤️
Your talent is that you can come up with an idea of what you want to do, but there are those who can't. I teach mixed media classes and I try to get all the students to embrace the process, and not worry about the finish. Art is like cooking, it takes time to be proficient.
So cute, great idea for the flip up.
Ganz toll geworden❣️❣️❣️
Barbara, your passion came up with another awesome creation...I just love it! Ephy has been a welcomed
Dephemerember companion. I believe that Ephy can be a companion for All seasons 😊 that's just my opinion 😊
Such a fun flip up!!
So cute,,I love it!
Such a fun entry
Yes, my "blue" liquitex gesso is grainy, really rough when dry
I adore the way you say Brayed Furlap! Today's flip-up is so cute & fun! Luise's photo digi is fabulous! I'm finally getting started on Dephemerember 23!🤗🥰
Thanks and Have fun! 😃❤️
Thx for this vide
This was so much fun! You had me giggling all the way through with the great vintage laughing lady photo and all your oops and oh nos. 😂🫢
Thank you for being such a lovely bright spot in my day.
I was waiting for brayed furlap and you did not disappoint...yay
Me too !!! 😅😂
Barbara YOU ARE A REAL TONIC Actually better than any medication😂 Very inspirational and so hard working! I can't imagine how much preparation you do. Thank you for so muchand have a good Christmas xx
Thanks so much and Happy Holidays! ❤️
I worked at Hobby Lobby and did the announcements. I would say "pards and cardy" instead of cards and party most of the time
😂❤️
Great idea for the flip up
She looks like me when I got the prompt list!!! 😂🎉😂
😃❤️
Adorable and so fun! 👑❤
You read my mind making the sign a huge necklace❤❤❤
Super, tolle Idee, und du hast mich auf die Idee gebracht, dies etwas umzuwandeln, passend fürs Winterjournal, als Engel und für die 3 Hlg. Könige. Danke, du Goldstückle ❤.
Hihi vielen Dank! ☺️❤️
Thank you not only for your imaginative creations throughout the year but also your words of encouragement to try new things. I'm currently working on a piece that is a stretch beyond what I've done before and there are no step by step tutorials to follow. So your words meant a lot to me today
I applaud your willingness to go out of your comfort zone to learn something new! ❤️
Amazing creation, once again! I absolutely love it when you say “Brayed Furlap.” I say it all the time now. 😂❤
😂😂😂
I love how you decorated your people! Your make is so inspiring. Great tips for a beginner like me. Love your flip page.
love these dear 💖
What a wonderful flip up. Thanks so much for sharing your process. Got to watch Luisa’s now!❤❤❤
It’s funny - I shudder at the memory of wearing corduroy pants in the colour of Brushed Corduroy when I was young (with blue or mustard yellow skivvies - what was my Mum thinking 😱), and the Frayed Burlap (Brayef Furlap) totally isn’t my colour either normally, but in Distress Oxides they are the most amazing colours & two of my favourites, along with Aged Mahogany.
Totally agree! 😃❤️
wonderful video!
You are so right about creativity! It reminds me of a video of John Cleese I saw the other day called "Creativity in Management". In the video John sais: "Creativity is not a talent, it’s a way of operating." That reminds me of a quote by Albert Einstein: "Creativity exists, but it has to find you working." I admire your talent for organization and planning. It helps to see your steps so less organized people like me can also follow along. :D
Thanks so much for your kind feedback! ❤️
Thank you for the flip idea. When I made my journal I knew I was going to be short on pages because I don't like using the back pages.of the journal. Thank you....
So fun😂😂👏 loveing the laughter in the picture 😂😁😍 lots of love from arctic Norrway at -20 today 🙌🌻🎍🎄🎅
The lady is so cute. She makes smile!
Love it!! Habe einen schönen Tag bis morgen Barbara. LG Heike
❤
Oh my goodness! I love all these Dephemerember prompts! And seeing all the other junk journal ladies on youtube doing their interpretations of the prompts is so fun! Love what you created Barbara 😊
I love this laughing lady!! I was hoping you’d pick the laughing man down in the corner for your second photo. Mainly because I wanted to hear their story (the one you would have shared with us)! Lol. I’m so glad you reminded us that doing a flip out or a flip up saves room in the spine. Fun page.
🎄♥️🎄
So cute and fun! Thank you, I have never done anything like this so maybe now I will give it a try.
Go for it! 😃❤️
Totally agree with what you said about projects taking time, even days sometimes. I’m currently on my 4th dephemerember prompt (not going in list order but completing each according to what inspires me at the time), and it’s taken me all day. Just finished the selfie in a bubble prompt, which took me a few days. It’s okay. I don’t feel rushed. With inspiration from you and Luise I’m using my own ideas and supplies, making each prompt my own, and I’m proud of them when they’re done. I've learned a ton, and even though some things haven't turned out exactly as I invisioned, other things have turned out better and all of them have been a ton of fun. Just want to “second” your encouragement that it’s okay to take our time.
That’s awesome! 👍🏻😃❤️
Awesome ! A lot of inspiration - a lot of that i have to try out. And definitely have to check flying tiger for those cards - more have to get the lovley vintage photographs of Luise. Enjoy Dephemerember so much ! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Love how your flip up came to life with the small details . Merry Christmas ❤🎄
Thank you and Happy Holidays! ❤️
Very pretty.🐼🐼Hugs
Barbara: remarkable! That laughing lady reminds me of something from the Twilight Zone, a vintage TV program. (Black & White) Are you familiar with it? Rod Sterling, who was the creator and host telling the story, was way ahead of his time. A very talented man. You certainly have a talent! Carol from California
Rod Serling dear...
Thanks Carol! I have heard of The Twilight Zone, but never watched it.
Ahhhh. Based on Stephen King short stories weren’t they? I watched some of the series, but when it was in colour. I always have a vague memory of the blue men episode - where our lives exist on something like a stage setting & the blue men move in well in advance, and according to their list for what should be in the “set”, they place all the items in their spots, ready for us to come & fill the space later on. But every now & then, one forgets an item or a mischievous blue men leaves one out. Then when the stage is reset for the next minute, it is usually put in its spot. That’s why we can search for something, swear it wasn’t there, but it will turn up a short time later 😁 “A matter of minutes” it was called apparently.
Barbara, I love you so much! Tfs! I like how u always shoe us what works and mainly what doesnt!!!! I have learned sooo much from u, especially to "try it out." I love doing that now. I don't know why I'm so afraid to even "try out" an idea! Anyways! Ty so much! Love love love you and your art!!!
I'm so glad! 😊❤️
