- Ty Pennington takes on the town's run-down swimming pool to give it an extreme-style makeover.
Responding to a plea for help from the townsfolk of Portishead, Ty rolls into town on a mission to rebuild the community's much-loved outdoor swimming pool. Devastated by the council's decision to close the pool, locals lobbied to get it re-opened and back to its former glory. The man to make that wish come true is Extreme Makeover's Mr Ty Pennington. But first, there's a heap of work to be done.
Ty, his crew and the local have only seven days to compelte this massive project to a very tight budget. The pool needs to be cleared of debris, the changing rooms transformed, a children's wet play area built, solar heating fitted, and the whole place redecorated, and eventually the pool will take a numbers of days to fill up and heat.
Can the community of Portishead come together to help Ty finish this mammoth task and restore their old swimming pool to its former glory? - Zábava
WOW!! That pool.went from a sickening, ghastly eye-sore to a wonderful, amazing piece of eye-CANDY!!!! Awesome job Portishead citizens, Ty and, all who had a hand in bringing "the dead back to life!!!" Incredible!!!

I know that the weather conditions over there are wild and had to wonder just how long they kept the swimming pool open over the year???? Still, great job!!! The people living there are going to enjoy having it back!!!❤️❤️

i think this Extreme makeover is Quite Amazing! Ty Pennington, is a Awesome kind of Mankind!! People, they need Activity in Hometown community"s, so,for Ty,and other"s to have such a Great Attitude,Love, and compassion for Helping so many people!! not only will the pool provide people,with fun,and summer activity!,But,it also help"s people with Medical Problems, such as Chronic pain,Arthrrius ,a physical Healthy Heart ,swimming,builds Longer,Leaner Muscles,Boost Cardiovascular! I love that the whole crowd (probably the majority of the town) and workforce is half the size of the crowd that hang out outside the houses they redo in the USA!
Which is why what Ty did was even more important - a small town needs big help :-)

So beautiful to see a British town rebuild such a much loved asset. I used to swim in lido on Teignmouth seafront till idiot council turned it into a little used skate park. Bring back Lido's. They bring people much needed fresh air swimming an are a huge asset to any town if councils bothered to maintain them better. Swimming will NEVER go out of fashion as its needed to save lives. Improve health. Generate revenue. Why cant idiot councils see this. Well done to the beautiful people of Portishead an Ty. Now come on UK. Get more Lidos up an running. An Teignmouth Council need a kick up ass to reopen their Lido as the structural foudations are still there an skate parks shouldnt be on seafronts when they cant generate whole families to enjoy as from what ive seen its rarly used by skaters who prefer to use streets an parks. Not a closed in rectangle.
I agree, 'they'meaning, all the health professionals want us to keep our children from getting 'fat' and unhealth yet keep taking away swimming pools from the local areas. As a youth I would walk to my local swimming baths and swim about twice/three times a week. They closed it down and the only place now is the Leisure Centre which is way out of the town area and cost so much. How do they expect us to keep our children wanting a health way of keeping fit, when they take it so far out, they can't get to it.
We used to have an outside pool but the council closed it and put a water gardens there which is now round down... 🙄

I can't believe you parked across a handicap parking space.
I thought that, but I think they were temporarily unavailable as part of the building site and he was just within the box! I would be terribly cross if they were in use though because there are never enough of them for those of us who need to be close to the place we're going and can't use the poorly designed ticket machines.
