So the capo is on the 4th fret because I keep that acoustic guitar either dropped half a step or a whole step down. In this case its set up a whole step down so DGCFAD. Duvet is in B minor so if I have my guitar in that tuning and put the capo on the 4th fret I can voice the B minor chord as an A minor and all the other chords as open chord shapes and take advantage of open strings and natural harmonics. It’s the same idea as if your guitar was in standard tuning and you put the capo on the second fret. The tonal qualities of both guitars have more to do with how I mic’d them, as well as the electric guitar pickups and the fender tweed amp it is coming out of XD
I honestly think the best thing if you’re new is to go to a big music store and try to hold a few different entry level guitars in your hands. There’s not only so much variation between styles and brands but even individual guitars within the same model. You can definitely either start on acoustic or electric, both have their own advantages for beginners so really it depends on what type of music you want to learn.

is the capo placement like that on purpose? it gives the e string a more tangy sound and it sounds goodd. i’m a complete beginner so my fault 😅😅
