  • Traveling to Jakarta, Indonesia, one of the largest, busiest and arguably friendliest city on Earth! These are our first impressions of Jakarta. We have wanted to travel to Indonesia for as long as we can remember, so after taking flight across the Java Sea from Singapore to the capital of Jakarta, on the island of Java, we set off to explore the city and vlog the day as we meet some of the smiley local people, try some incredible Indonesian food (including some incredible Sate!) and soak in the vibes of Jakarta, the 4th largest city in the World and the heart of Indonesia! 🇮🇩

I lived in Jakarta for 5 years. What an experience it was but by far the outstanding memory is the street street food. We ate out probably 5 nights a week and the food was always brilliant. My stomach is not overly strong so chilli & spicy food is out but my wife ordered meals for me without asking (just eat it!!!!) and I never had a single problem. Indonesians are beautiful people who love their country. Traffic is chaos, it can be very hot, it can be very wet but that is all part of the experience.

@@MattandJulia Married to an Indonesian. Took the best part of 4 years to obtain Australian permanent Residency for the family. I was there during the Bali Bombing which absolutely horrified the average Indonesia - they had no sympathy for those who perpetrated this crime. I never felt unsafe. People would approach me in the Malls and ask to touch my white skin & chit chat. Great times.

My goodness you were just few hours in Jakarta for the first time ever and already comparing Singapore to Jakarta that way? Please be smart.
Don't act like you know it all but in fact you know nothing at all about Jakarta about Indonesia in general.
Singapore is very tiny country island, no where to go outside the island, in fact less smaller than Jakarta (6 times size of Paris Europe's largest city much bigger than very tiny very poor London, Amsterdam, etc).
Jakarta is huge and surrounded by many cities around that's why there are so many cars, the CBU cars has almost 300% import tax as an example, Mercedes C Class Made in Germany cost more than USD 100K here in Indonesia unlike Mercedes C Class Made in Indonesia cost around USD 50K.
That's why so many world renowned brands are having theirs biggest factories here in Indonesia since early 1970's.
Singapore Rich? Yeah, it's just our former Sumatra's tiny island our Ancestors gave away to the British along with Malaysia
Just like Dubai even worse hasn't real natural resources but only mediocre western world dominated.
Even Singaporeans must go to neighbor; Batam and Bintan islands of Sumatra Indonesia to escape their soulless tiny country/city.
Nothing surprising all those first timers are surprised how huge and supermodern Jakarta is and big cities around Indonesia are.
Jakarta only is 6x size of Paris Europe's largest city.
There Are Only 2 Supermodern Megapolitan in The World: Jakarta and Tokyo, Only.
Yet, Jakarta is much Greener than Tokyo.
Don't be surprised London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Barcelona, Lisboa, Milano, Vienna, Budapest, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Athena, Istanbul, Dubai, etc even New York, Los Angeles, etc are very poor cities and are just of village level 😅🤣
Even better everything from food to nature Indonesia is much richer and better than Japan.
And World map is wrong since Mercator projection 1569, Real Indonesia is Huge.
And grave of my beloved belated maternal Grandma Lady of Bukittinggi, is in Batam East Sumatra Indonesia's small islands next to Singapore.
      Singaporeans favourite escape destination.
Egypt isn't the oldest, even Egypt is very poor, very dry, far off the center of the Equator line.
Most highest humidity on Earth: Indonesia, meaning many much older artifacts has decayed much faster than just few thousands years Egypt.
And Judaism/Christianity/Islam are just the same dumb.
Even most of people know nothing about much older ancient modern civilization here in Indonesia before mega eruption of Toba supervolcano of Sumatra 75,000 years ago.
Including 25,000 years old Gunung Padang pyramid in Indonesia.
Hindu isn't from India either. Original Hindu is Indonesia not in India.
Hindu in India and in Bali are totally different
Indus, Indo, Hindia, Hindu = Indus Islands = Indo Nesos = Indonesia.
The same with Astrology came from Indonesia not by the Greeks, Egyptians nor Aramaic/Arabs/Jews.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam are just frauds branches of modified Hinduism in India.
Real Hindu came from Indonesia not India.
Hindu, Hindia, Indus, Indo, etc = Indo Nesos, Indus islands, Indonesia over 17000 islands, exactly on the center of the equator line, the center of all civilization, all Indo around the world came from here especially because of eruption of Toba supervolcano Sumatra 75000 years ago bigger than Yellowstone USA, resulted today world's largest volcanic lake Toba Sumatra.
Yet, world map is wrong since Mercator projection 1569, real Indonesia is Huge as Russia and even much richer than the rest of the world.
Coffee is native in Indonesia not brought by the Dutch.
Too many lies they wrote about Indonesia even at formal school books!
The fact is whole Europe has been built with Indonesia's wealth for centuries by mentally and intellectually they hasn't changed a bit.
      But inner the same mediaeval.

    • @RIZFERD
      @RIZFERD Před 5 měsíci

Bali is one of few parts of original Indonesia before invasion of Middle East with their Judaism/Christianity/Islam.
Beloved Jakarta is 1st Winner World's Best Sustainable Transportation (STA 2021), First High Speed Bullet Train in Southeast Asia and Southern Hemisphere, etc.
There are only 2 Megapolitan in The World:
Tokyo and Jakarta, Jakarta is 6 times size of Europe's largest city Paris (very poor in everything even fancy brands and restaurants are so poor there), is even much richer and much better nature than Tokyo.
Yet, filthy western world including middle east, india and surrounding has been belittling Indonesia too long since Mercator projection 1569.
This world's richest natural resources The Emerald of the Equator Indonesia in reality is huge as Russia even much richer than the rest of the world.
Dutch VOC was much richer than any present day world's richest company.
Yes, whole Europe was and still is built from Indonesia's limitless wealth.
Yet, Indonsia is already so advanced even before eruption of Toba supervolcano 75,000 years ago including world's oldest pyramid 25,000 years old Gunung Padang Cianjur West Java.
Indonesia even was much larger than present day already so huge, covering The Philippines, South Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia+Brunei, Singapore, Australia all the way to Madagascar Africa.
Then Middle East and Europe came to mess around yet India as the first trouble makers.
Have a look them men on Singaporean Dollar notes, Malaysian Ringgit, etc they're of Sumatra Indonesia including Singaporean National Anthem writer and composer.
Michelin Star standard is just reflection of very poor nature western world, is very special to them but it's just our average standard *lol
Even Coffee at Macdonald's in Indonesia are better ;) btw, Coffee is native to Indonesia and Africa not brought by Dutch they're all liars with everything even with history.
Anyway from KFC to McDonald's to Domino, Pizza Hut and many more taste much better here in Indonesia than in western world, the secret is our spices and herbs.
Even the best Donuts in the entire world is in Indonesia local brand.
I can never forget how disgustingly greasy and tasteless the food are in Europe.
Real pizza is just old bread waste mixed together just look at the history, Spaghetti is copy of Asian noodles with their limited natural resources, anyway all western world cuisines are world's lowest.
Caviar and Champagne are luxury to them because of their very poor nature while those fish eggs and grapes are so everywhere around the world.
Their luxury are just world's lowest ;)
Indonesia, leader of G20 (Great 20 nations worldwide) 2022 and ASEAN, Association of Southeast Asia's Nations.
Real Indonesia is Huge as Russia, The Real Global Superpower, World's Richest Natural Resources even only Our Oil and Gas are much more than whole Middle East.
World Map is Inaccurate since Mercator projection 1569.
Indonesia before Western world came originally covering present day 78 years old Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia (Man on Ringgit Malaysia is one of our Forefathers, One of Kings of Our Minangkabau West Sumatra Indonesia settled Negeri Sembilan Kingdom Malaysia), Singapore (also the Man on Singaporean Dollar, and Singaporean National Anthem Writer and Composer from my beloved belated Mother's birth place Bukittinggi West Sumatra), Brunei, The Philippines (Mindanao and Manila City were founded by our Forefathers Kings of Minangkabau Sumatra Indonesia before Spaniards came), South Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and Madagascar Africa.
Original Hindu is from Indonesia not India.
Hindu in India isn't the authentic hindu.
As Hindu is Indo, Indus, Indo Nesos.
All Indo around the world (indo persian, indo european, indo american, etc) came from here especially because of the mega eruption of world's largest volcanic eruption 75,000 years ago results today world's largest volcanic lake, Toba Lake Sumatra, including world's oldest pyramid on West Java 25,000 years old "Gunung Padang" not Egypt ;) the air in Egypt is so dry and far off the equator line.
Indus islands: Real Lost Atlantis when Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Bali were connecting as One.
The Real Center of all world's ancient modern civilizations.
Mother of Sumer (Summer/Sun/Gold) = Sumer Tera = Sumatera = Sumatra
And Real Indonesia is huge as Russia, world map is inaccurate since Mercator projection 1569.
Indonesia the world's richest natural resources was and will always be the true global superpower even long before west came.
Nothing coincidence Planet Earth has Chakra points as well just as human beings as we're all stardust, and stars + planets are one.
The middle of Bali's 4 active volcanoes is the Planet Earth's Gate 7 to Chakra 7th Mount Kailash Tibet China/India.
Central and North + East Bali were my weekend destination escaping from busy touristy South Bali.
Where I met One of my Ancestors with his guardian in 2012 very early morning with 2 eyewitnesses, both were friends of mine, one of them is a professional tarot card reader but he ran away home too scared for unusual super intense metaphysical activity 😅 so they let them us 3 (me in human form and my Ancestor The King in very beautiful gold attires, shirtless but beautiful fabrics and 3/4 pants around high up to below his chest gold belt, and his floating dragon assistant also with a gold crown).
As he was the one has opened my port unintentionally as he offered me to read just for fun that midnight in the tv room as we were bored conquered all hangout spots around Bali.
Many paranormals including on Bali knew not to read me a tarot card unless you're prepared for the unusual.
The more you dive in the more you realise those westerners running the world are just very basic never evolved dumb animals it's all reflect in their very poor nature.
      As I always state:
Thus not a complete multiracial not multilingual never been living around the world all alone since childhood are just the same never evolved dumb apes stuck inside your tiny boxes your entire life and not learning from the past to evolve better.
      Monkey See, Monkey Do.
Born complete multiracial multilingual Indonesian Royal Mix, living around the world all alone since childhood.
I am a sigma male, undefeatable.

There many kinds of Sate. What you ate first is Sate Padang from west Sumatra. The sauce is different. The second Sate is Sate Madura (I think), because the sauce is peanut sauce. When you come the East and central Java you will find other kinds of Sate. You're gonna find another kind of Sate also when you visit Bali.

Hello... The satay that you just ate was Padang style Sate, so, yes.. it is different than Java style satay. Indonesia is a multicultural country, and that means, one kind of food, would taste differently from one culture to another. The way to look Indonesia is to picture Indonesia like Europe, and each states are a country in Europe. A italian bread is different than the french one, and french soup is also different than German one. The same goes to Indonesian tribes.
The normal satay that western people know, is usually javanese satay, with peanut sauce. Padang style is using a gravy, beef, and bolder in taste. There is also another kind of satay from tegal, that has goat. Tegal style usually use sweet soy sauce and onion as its dressing. There are many other style of satay, such as coconut floss from madura, of beef from Purwakarta, and so on and so on. Each culture has their own dish, satay just one of them. Therefore, if you did research the food that you wanted to try, and it didn't come up to your picture, you should check what culture does it come from, especially in Jakarta, where most Indonesian tribes meet. A Javanese man would grill the satay Javanese way, like the one that is famous with peanut sauce, and Padang guy would grill the satay like the one that you tasted.
