Eminem's stuff is for Eminem. No one can put his shoes on and feel his conviction. But for a female singer to cover this classic, Gigi was phenomenal. I agree with you that she can rap and should write something. She's a proven artist and people want more from her than just covers. It goes with the territory of being one of the most gifted singers to come along of any generation. Your honesty is always important.

I agree. I bet she would do very well with her verses. She's got what it takes to take her rap skills higher. With that said, this is a great arrangement. As some people mentioned, it's challenging to do Eminem raps. I think this passes the test and gives justice to the cover. Thanks for the reaction!

Thank you for your reaction and analysis of our stars. But most of all for your kind and insightful thoughts. There was another reactor that did not appreciate Gigi's performance. I respected his opinion, but I was obviously disappointed. I did not get it, but with you, I somehow understand. You just don't cover rap. Because of this I have a higher appreciation of rap. When rap music hit the Philippines, many were hooked which gave rise to local rap artists. This includes Francis M, Glock 9, OC Dawgs, etc. Gigi is arguably considered here as Cover Queen and Gigi Vibes is an excellent band. Their genre I believe, includes Pop and Rock and Alternative. To make Gigi branch out as a legit rap group may be a tough challenge but they are still young and growing. Again thanks for your wisdom . Mabuhay.

I agree, she got the flow & it would great if she wrote a verse. She & the band actually have an all original album that came out a year ago. Unfortunately there's some restrictions with her management, something to do with her signing them but not the band, so they can't perform them in their independent gigs. Its wacked. Most ppl dont even know they have an album but it's on Spotify. Songs are in Filipino/Tagalog & there's 1 English song.
I hears they will work on a new album & I'm hoping they will have more control over their work. They will collab a song with one of my fave Filipino bands who write their own music, Ben & Ben. They're like indie rock folk type.
The music industry is so upsetting sometimes but I hope they do get to do some original music especially since she has the platform for it and I've never heard of that group before
@@itsemotion-o The entertainment industry in the US & PH are run differently, but both are wacked. I used to wish Gigi & other Filipino singers would be signed by major US labels, but knowing the evilness of the industry, now I'd rather they not. To me, smaller indie abels or just producing it themselves would be more ideal, but it's difficult to do. Someone introduced me to Ben & Ben 2 yrs ago & it wasn't my type of music (not sure how to call it, maybe indie pop folk). But when Gigi Vibes said they were gonna work with them, I checked out their music recently, & now I love it. It's probably not ur kind of music but u can listen to Leaves for starters.

You're asking for something that can't be done at this time because they have too much on their plate and they have their own schedule as well as legal restrictions you don't know about. What you want as a reactor may not be the direction that the band is heading for. Just be happy that she can make these performances at an awesomely high level that other artists can't even aspire for, especially those who don't have her conmand of the English language. Watch her covers of Filipino Tagalog songs and see if you can go in that direction just because they won't be following your specific wishes and wants.

He wasn't critical at all about Gigi. In fact he's encouraging her to write her own verse coz he has confidence in her. He's been reacting to Gigi for over a year now. This reactor is as real as it gets. He's not one of those reactors that go goo goo ga ga over singers just to get Likes. I'm a super fan of Gigi & I do want her to write her own music too. I know they have an original album already, but unfortunately they have restrictions and can't perform the songs, it's complicated. But they are planning to do a 2nd album and I have a feeling they will have more control of their music this time.
