Kyoto, Gion Festival 2022 Yamahoko-Junko (float procession), best viewing location

Gion Festival in Kyoto, one of the three major festivals in Japan, will be held on March 17 for the first time in three years with the Yamahoko-junko (parade of floats) of the Mae-matsuri festival and the Mikoshi-togyo (portable shrine procession) of the Shinkosai festival. Live broadcast of the procession at the Kawaramachi-Oike intersection in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto.
