- #CraftySummerSimples: Sometimes it’s daunting or challenging to fill a journal. Sometimes you want to “make” but aren’t sure if a direction to take. This video shows a variety of items that can be made to fill a junk journal, using any paper line, digital or authentic vintage paper. I’ve focused on the beautiful kits created by Rachel @ RachandBella Crafts and Angela Kerr, but any paper would work. Thank you for watching, happy summer and happy creating.

Some great ideas here. When my Mojo is lacking I make Gift Tags putting family names on them…Mom, Dad, Sister, Uncle, Grandma etc. When I’ve made about 10 or 12 I put them in a see-through bag & take them down to my local Charity shop for them to sell & make a little money for their charity. It’s also excellent for using up bits & bobs of stash.

Thank you. I guess it’s the freedom to toss them if I’m not pleased with the outcome that makes using scraps so freeing. I mean, they’re just scraps, right? 😊

Yes, I can see this applies to all of us crafters, we lose our mojo , & this is the perfect way to just use up scrapes, & organize them in pouches, for a later date for crafting. Ur truly blessed 🙏🙏🙏

Finally catching up on some of your videos that I've missed, have been dealing with the after effects of cervical surgery that seems to have caused more issues than it was supposed to fix. So I'm up at 2:40 am finishing this video after starting it at the gym on the bike, your gentle voice and your beautiful ideas always calm me. Have been thinking of you and wondering how you've been since your loss, sending you continued love and prayers. Thanks for continuing to be there for me when I need some gentleness in my life.

I’m new at this but I found out how I like taking old unusable looking stuff others think unimportant and taking these things ang giving it a new life making it beautiful and useful again . I can hear the passion in your voice . You’re very creative.
Crafting is addicting , I find myself always looking around checking to see what scraps can become useful and beautiful again . I’ve become a horder . 😊

I’m almost ashamed to admit that when I started I threw away a bunch of scraps…never Tim Holtz. You taught me endless ideas to not only use them but also to store them. That was all you. So, thank you. I make better journals because of you and I use my scraps. 😁

What is a tuxedo pocket (or tuxedo tuck?)? This is one of the very best, most comprehensive tutorials I have ever seen! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you 😊 The tuxedo pocket is what I call the fold-in-and-fold-down pockets. The front looks like the flaps of a tuxedo. Once folded you can also flip up the bottom for an additional pocket.
Hello, dear friend. 👋😀 Thank you for this wonderful collection of uses for our papers and ideas to fill our journals. 🥰 Our winter has been a mix up some cold days and cool to warm days. Nights are usually cold here with many very frosty mornings. Cloudy, overcast days are not the norm as the sun shines most days even if the very cold Southerly or Westerly winds are blowing. I love the many journal/reading/books digital pieces. Can you recommend where to find digitals for a reading journal?
Thank you and really, it depends. I believe it’s My Porch Prints that offers a reading log style page. I think Anna @pinkmonarchprints also has one that works well. I use a covered composition book to save/store my own reading log.
