Squat effect explained. Nice to see a ship sim player with nautical knowledge. The success of this game will also depend on the community. MSFS is doing really well because the developer(microsoft) listens to the community of players. More of videos like this

Thanks for the video. It is interesting about the subscription model. I agree with the general "subscription=bad" feeling. However, comparing it to TSW for example, buying a new version of the base game every year plus a couple of DLCs, it isn't difficult to get close to £100 a year (not trying to give DTG ideas here). Also, I have a few Steam games which I've bought at full price and then only played for a few hours, whereas with this business model, if I lose interest after a few weeks then it hasn't cost me much. And hopefully it encourages the devs to add content using this model. Yeah not sure about the subscription model but I am quite interested in the game (okay 'sim', but if I don't need to learn how to do it for a job, then it's also a game...).
at least you own those games, and could pass them on to someone else perhaps? I outright reject owning nothing.
@@SimUKReviews Thanks. I'm not sure if you can pass on the games to other players (and ownership on TSW is okay but unlike with TS1 they become almost-obsolete within a year anyway). I saw someone compare NHSS to iracing (which arguably has the worst of both worlds as it has a subscription model and you also have to buy DLC if you want to take part in some series). But with iracing you are partly paying for competitive, ranked multiplayer. And also I don't sub to iracing anymore as it was too expensive. I've seen a lot of people wish for multiplayer on NHSS, but I'm not sure I'd be that into that. At least with single player the other traffic should be realistic and well behaved.
Just watched the first 2 minutes and guessing this is the port of Barcelona? This sim looks good and I may give it a whirl if I can load it up. Great work :-)

😆 yes, this is Holland and is a 1:1 accurate recreation.
If you watch the way the boat behaves in narrow bridges and waterways, it shows just how realistic this sim is.
It looks interesting, but I worry a tad too slow for me. I love flight sims but this looks like there is even less going on. But I am intrigued
Anyone know if this supports trackir, steering wheels, etc? Looking on the NAUTIS Home FAQ, it only mentions 1 specific controller. Thanks.
So far I have tried at least 6/7 different controllers and but for about 3 buttons, everything worked perfectly.

The graphics of this game is pathetic. Also, so limited in terms of functionality. Great review, however, your videos are awesome!
