When cleaning it, take the suction tube off and clean it with a tap or hose, you’ll need far less water to clean the machine and less worn on the machine too 👍

You mentioned that you replaced the gun itself with one from Sherwin-Williams. What happened to the HF gun? You paid almost as much for just the gun as the HF kit itself. I would like to know the difference between different brands of guns.
I have the same HF setup, can't complain. I had to take the thing apart to get the check valve ball bearing unstuck although the machine was stored with the proper solvent.

I don’t remember the exact issue, but the first huge mistake I made was I let someone borrow the sprayer. Lesson learned. They didn’t quite clean it up like I would have, and I put it away like that. But even so, the gun had started to spit a little right at the beginning/end of the spray, and would drip the tinyest amount of paint from the tip. I assumed the needle and seat were shot. I couldn’t clearly find anywhere if you could rebuild the HF gun or not, so I just decided to buy the graco gun. Rebuild kits and parts are so much more available. Plus I was able to start using the FFLP (fine finish low pressure) green tips, which seem to work great for beginners like me. Not sure if the HF gun can use those tips or not. Anyway, at the price I paid for the sprayer and new gun, I probably could have just bought a graco sprayer in the first place, but overall I’m still happy. Hoping to use it to paint my garage exterior soon. I sense a CZcams video coming :)
