In between all of this they are laughing as though it bears some representation to reality

Ohh these two are so cute together. I just found Scandal two days ago and I have finished watching both seasons. I seriously think there's some real life chemistry between those two. In the photoshoot TG hands go from KW back to almost her ass and back again. TG definitely loves him some KW.

Being a Black woman myself, with a college education, making an excellent income, own my own home....all I get is Black men who are envious of my success....so why should I stick with the Black man when we all know that when he is ready he will hop and skip right over to dating a White woman or another non-Black woman. Sorry, I am not trying to put Black men down...but I cannot deal with the insecurity issues. So cream it is!
the irony in what kerry says about him being a married man!. its like they moved from talking about the show to talking about their real live. so beautiful yet impossible. By definition he is unavailable lol
He keeps saying "I" instead of Fitz. "I was really angry". He has sort of lost himself in that role.
That man is a strong character for 7 seasons. It's gonna take some time I'm sure to shake that off. He always speaks as Fitz not Tony alot while Kerry tries to keep it separate.

What I find amazing is how things have changed. Tony Goldwyn's family (grandfather) was the founder of MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer), yes THAT MGM. And in those days Hollywood basically slammed its doors on minorities. I'll bet his grandfather never would have envisioned this :)
Yes they didn't like black people his grandparents are old school back in the day very predjuice I if he was living now and Tony doing Scandal he would not let him play the part of the President in a Scandal falling in love with a black woman in front of the whole world on National TV . I grew up in that era and it was rough we have came along way but their are still bumps in the road
@@sharonclay1311 I totally agree with you. Also don't forget Kerry was brought up in "Black Awareness," home. She knew what her role in the Series meant for future of her fellow Black Women in the Arts Industry. She's too brilliant to allow her emotions to ruin/closed that door for another 40/50 yrs.

young lady, then my suggestion (only a suggestion) is to then say 'SOME black men are...', which, from what you're saying, is what you mean.
when i see folks, particularly black folks, speaking in absolutes, i can only presume they're mean 'all'. i've done the same with black men who say 'black women are golddiggers' (reminding him that most guys who say this don't have gold to dig).
that's all i'm saying.

And now does everyone understand why Shonda Rhimes cut the scene of Olivia and Fitz together and had him on his knees to Mellie (YUCK!) and Olivia smiling before her jog and outing her as the President's mistress.... She had to destroy Olitz to accommodate her friend who she gave a job too and dumb down all the characters on Scandal... Shonda is apparently crushing Scott Foley big time, cuz he's now a series regular! So now the season finale makes all the sense in the world. WE SEE YOU SHONDA!

word...Syris is the ultimate hater/control freak! He was miliseconds away from whacking his OWN HUSBAND! Out of all the characters on Scandal Syrus is the most dangerous. and when he's dangerous it's always so quick in the episodes...it's like you're watching for everybody else then Syrus will make a phone call and you'll be like "what the hell did he just say/do?" ...how the hell does he know him?
Remember the tv show Undercovers starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Boris Kodjoe? It was cancelled because of low ratings. It was also cancelled because the stars of the show were black. Olivia Pope is a black women who sleeps with different men,mainly white men. If her co - star were black,Scandal wouldn't even be on tv right now. White Hollywood likes to keep the sexes separate when it comes to black characters on tv. White men bed black women and white women bed black men on tv. Wake up my sistah.
I watched that show. It was a really good show that shouldn't have been cancelled. It was a smart, sexy, and well written story-line. It was refreshingly different to see a t.v. show about black under-cover agents like Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Race is still a issue in Hollywood cause if Tony's daddy was living now he would not approve his son on this show due to old Hollywood white women white men very few blacks were shown back then. Even tho Kerry is gorgeous Tony handsome and being that much in love with a black women some people still find it hard to swallow especially the older generation the kids race doesn't seem to bother them a whole lot they hang out together with their friends that's black concerts and things but we have come a long way ladies and gentlemen paved a way for us and our children and their children children's one day as Martin Luther King said one day our kids black and white walk hand and hand with each other and the color of their skin should not define who you are the world and country will be so good

Interesting. I suppose the mixed race thing is more fascinating b/c there are more mixed race families & relationships out there. Its sad that Undercovers didn't work out. But that was b/c the people just didn't seem interested,not b/c Hollywood didn't try to promote and put it out there.There may not be too much to wake up about,except perhaps that there is a great fascination w/mixed couples.
