- My name is Jonny B and I am having fun revisiting or reacting to music videos from the glory days of MTV to today and learning a little about the history of the artists and the songs behind the music videos. From The Beatles to Michael Jackson to Nirvana to Tupac to Taylor Swift, no video is off limits (except maybe Baby Shark, of course).

Who cares? He's versatile enough to fuse all three of them. I don't understand what the problem is. It's going to be the song of the summer. It's catchy people like it. People want to get up and move. They can't get enough of it. So who really cares it doesn't matter. Music is for all and it could have a violent background. It could have a hip hop sound. It is being respected from most of the country vons so maybe we need to stop investigating and just enjoy it
There's no problem. I was just wondering, thats all. I agree that we should just enjoy the music, but I'm the type of person that likes to know all about the story behind it.

You know, I have a strong feeling that if you had listened to the song first and not watched the video first your assessment would have been totally different. I say this as I recently heard the song on the radio before I saw the video and loved it but was soo surprised when I saw the video. This is so good for music though IMO as videos have made assumption so easy before actually hearing the music first. I am not a country music fan but this singer may get me to like it more especially after watching his "Let It Burn" video too, another great song. I love it when music can through you such a wonderful curve ball and I wish this artist TREMEDOUS success.
I completely agree with that! I can think of a few songs where my opinion of it was strongly influenced by the video because that's what I saw first. When you listen to a song on its own, you get your own interpretations of the lyrics, pictures in your mind painted by the atmospherics of the music and the melody, the image in your mind of the artist (if you've never seen the artist before), etc, but videos tend to tell you how to interpret the song, what to picture in your mind when you hear it, and so forth. Come to think of it, there are a lot of songs that, when I hear them, all I picture in my mind is the video, and I'm sure that why many artists hate making videos.
I also checked out some of his other work after filming my video and I have to say, his songs are very catchy and very well done! I'm with you in wishing him a lot of success!
@@vidtubevibe Thank you, Just heard his Collab song with Noah Cyrus "My Fault" and I am coming to the realization that this guy might really be the next superstar. Like Post Malone who took a little while to break through once an artist like this does its nothing but blue skies after that.
I dont know if im the only one who noticed this, but shaboozey i think actually acted slightly drunk in the video

My opinion a black man would not go to a bar but would go to a club. Notice the dancers are all white. I feel this is a coming together of all. Which is good due to our country being divided so much the last 2 yrs.

Look up race records, black people have been shut out of country music for a long time although they were essential to its creation and the foundations of it. They have always been there but pushed to do R&B and other genres they created.

Not true at all. There's been Charlie pride Darius Rucker. I grew up in the 70s. And my mother always played Charlie Pride. Who is black So you are so wrong!!! I think before you come on here. Make in snap judgments. You should really study more cause. Whatever you looked up or whatever you read lied to you
@@jackiestow4294 One outlier doesn't prove your point. And Darius Rucker has talked about in interviews his struggles in country music. If you think Charlie Pride didn't have a similar experience you would be very wrong sir.

You are witnessing an evolution of music. First, white people started doing r&b rap. Gourds Gin & Juice. Then Shaboozey is like "Hold my Jack Daniels"
Its almost like this man stops himself from bopping his head. I can smell the racism from here. You can tell, he doesn't enjoy his success. Idk. However, you can tell he doesn't like this.
He said he’s from Virginia and he’s trying to mix the southern sounds he heard and the hip hop that he also heard. Watch his interview with Kelly Clarkson. I don’t usually watch her shows, but that interview was great. It’s on YT. I love country music- Cash, Nelson, Brooks, Strait and a bunch of others. But I also love hip-hop: Biggie, PAC, Dre, Eminem. I have no problem with the genres mixing. That’s what America is supposed to be: A melting pot where everyone fits into a giant stew so to speak. It didn’t happen when we fought for our independence, and we fought a war in the 1860s amongst ourselves. If it’s the melding of music that brings us together, then so be it.
said perfectly said. i was that kid at 10 who bought tupacs greatest hits at 9 years old at a garage sale for 10 cents =D im 34 now and also the same kid who grew up in the sticks of the midwest listening to strait, travis, cash, jennings through my dad. also bought wutangs albums growing up. had a strange love for good hip hop being the irish kid i was. alice in chains is my forever favorite but thats not part of any of this right now lol .nothing but love and wish the best

I had no idea when I made the video, but shortly after I posted it, I checked out a few of his other songs: all country! The fact that I didn't know this or who Morgan Wallen was (see my Post Malone video) shows how out of the loop I am with country music, but doing these videos is definitely expanding my horizons!!
It doesn't matter which musician is from which music genre.
If you like the song, you like it.
Regardless of whether you know the musician or not.
And regardless of what you think the artist's other music is.
