      ssd just affect the boot time not performance,right?

    • @MrSipnose
      @MrSipnose Před 3 lety +19

      @@junaidshaikh2265 If by performance you mean the amount of FPS you get, for example, no, it won't. In the case you want RAW performance, for instance faster processing power, CPU and RAM (both speed and amount) will influence that performance. With an SSD you get faster storage and lower latency when accessing this storage. Sometimes your "performance" gets cut off because with an HDD you get high latency when accessing the data you need and even a fast CPU can appear "slow" (for instance opening task manager with an i7 might appear slow). SSD are better overall, but HDD still have some advantages.

      I guess you should appreciate the inventor of RAM then, weve had the tech for quite some time, we just needed it to get smaller (and also proper controllers but thats another topic) SSDs is essentially a bunch of RAM paired together. Physically they are pretty much the same but they work in very different ways.

    Yeah my pc was like this 2 weeks ago. I upgraded it with a 128gb ssd 2 weeks ago and now it starts up within 10s. Before my lap took around 1 hour to respond at least 1 app without any lags. It's a trick the companies use. Lot of budget laps comes with either a 1tb hard drive or with around 500gb ssd. Some budget laps comes with both hard and ssd which covers around 500gb of storage. So when we buy a laptop we need to allocate an amount for a ssd or for a hard considering the specs the lap we are going to bus.

The only problem: please make laptops that can open a little cover to change the SSD without having to put out 10 screws to open the main cover. And I recommend to put all the files in the HD and even make a backup in a external HD because when a SSD fails all data that it has inside will be lost and it will happens without warning, it’s called “the sudden death of SSD”. My laptop with 512 GB SSD, 8 GB ram takes 90 seconds to boot up Windows 10 21h1. What's the problem?

    • @otomackena7610
      @otomackena7610 Před 3 lety +3

      90sec? That's too much for an ssd. mine just take 6sec to boot up (512GB SSD n 16GB ram). My old laptop with 1TB HDD n 8GB ram would almost take more than 5 minutes too boot up.
