  • Hello Everyone! In this video I am taking scrap hoodies and sweatshirts to make a Patchwork Hoodie! There are many different types of clothing you can make using this puzzle piece technique. I have been making patchwork sweatshirts, hoodies, and bucket hats for a few years not and I wanted to share it with you! I hope you love it. Each of your patchwork clothes are a piece of art, not two are the same and the color combinations are awesome❤

    Well it’s a good thing I have a serger laying around that I haven’t had a good reason to use, I don’t think I’d have the patience for this with just a sewing machine. It’s all coming together now lol

    • @JReneeDIY
      @JReneeDIY  Před rokem

      Yes i love my serger! It’s been a real game changer ever since i got one! Goodluck on your next projects !

    Hi, so do you just use the serger without a sewing machine? Are the seam durable. I used my serger alone and the threads keep getting messy and loose

    • @JReneeDIY
      @JReneeDIY  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hey, so just putting the patches together, i just use the serger. When i am sewing the pattern pieces together ie. attatching the sleeve to the armhole; i use both, a sewing machine and a serger to clean up the edges on the inside. If your stitches are a bit loose, check your tension settings on your serger, once you sew two pieces of fabric together with the serger, they should rarely come undone or be loose.
      Hope that helps!

      @@JReneeDIY thank you, yeah I’m trying to test out the tension to see which ones working best with the fabrics I’m using

    • @JReneeDIY
      @JReneeDIY  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@avadang2613 no problem! Yeah sometimes you have to play around with the tensions to know what’s best for the project you’re working on. The higher the number, the tighter the tension. And im always here to help!
