    i know what it's like I've been in his shoes. I suffer with depression and anxiety. everyday is a pure struggle. i found it hard to get help because I felt scared and alone. it took five months for me to go and see a doctor but I am happy i did because I feel a lot stronger for doing it.

      I hate the way I look,
      I cry because of it
      I think I'm a failure
      I constantly think negatively, it's never positive
      I stress out constantly and I find it hard to sleep
      When in public, my heart starts beating so fast, I sweat and I have this thought that people are constantly watching me, watching my every move and judging me
      I always find excuses to not go outside
      I constantly ask my brothers to buy me things because I don't have the courage to go myself
      I feel like I'm not going to be successful in life or even have a future
      I HATE going outside soo much
      Just yesterday my mum asked me to pick my little brother up from school
      Usually my dad does that but this time he was out and my mum has 1 leg
      I messed up my room just to find an outfit
      I just got out what I think is appropriate for the hot weather it is
      I came into the living room
      My mum said I look nice
      Idkw but I started to cry so much😭
      I told her I hate this!
      I look fat in it! I'm ugly!
      Why am I like this! I hate it!

    3 month waiting list? If this reflects what the NHS is really like concerning mental health and then this is heartbreaking man. In 3 months someone’s depression could get worse and God forbid decide to take their own life

    How do you find out you have depression? You should already know you have it. 😂

    • @torilove4868

      A lot of times you know something's wrong, but don't know what's wrong. Lee had all those symptoms, but didn't put it together that it was depression, just that he felt horrible.

      @MG-hi9sh Před 4 lety

      @@torilove4868 I'm not sure I agree with this, I've been through depression, and I knew exactly what was wrong, I just wasn't sure how to fix it. I've fared pretty well since then though, so happy days. 👍🏾

    • @torilove4868
      @torilove4868 Před 4 lety +1

      @@MG-hi9sh That's awesome that you have that much self awareness. I have trouble, even now, figuring out when I'm just having a bad day or if a depressive episode is coming. When I was young like that, the first time I had a depressive episode, I didn't know what I was feeling other than wrong. Plus, men in general are taught to stuff their emotions, so it would be hard to put words to.

    • @MG-hi9sh
      @MG-hi9sh Před 4 lety

      @@torilove4868 It is hard to know when it has become serious, depression is sneaky like that. I noticed when it was really bad, and I called my mum and told her I want a year out of uni because I can't handle it right now. It was very stressful, and I remember it very well. It was a hard time, but I think I knew deep down I would get out of it. Also, a word of advice, don't try to do the manly thing like I did and just hold it in, it only makes it worse. I had to talk about it eventually.
