most probably that's because the video is takes from very close to the stage and from there you can actually hear the drums as they naturally sound un-amplified. While the sound of voice and guitars from the speakers lands somewhere behind the camera. A better sound could have been captured at more than 15-20 m away from the stage, where you can actually hear the sounds of all instruments well balanced and equalized (if the sound engineer does it's job, of course). As an extreme example, take a look at all drum cam videos out there, there's 95% sound of the drums, 5% sound of the band playing.

Here the players are just making a scene, nothing wrong and nothing new. It's called "show" for a reason.
I like some of their stuff but I don’t care for this. They’re way off key and the drummer doesn’t have a clue. BTW, drummers are usually loud enough and don’t have to be miked to be heard. Drummers are the reason why a lot of singers and guitarists are deaf.
