Delliciouski Unfortunately, the iOS version on the X wouldn't support one, as there isn't one now. This basically means that even if you would go through all the of installing it, even if you make it as complex as you can, it wouldn't even work.
If there is enough room to mount the LEDs then there gotta be enough room to mount a small SMD linear voltage regulator and a few passives to get the proper forward voltage of a white LED...
If the brightness doesnt change with brightness why do you even use the display voltage? You could have simply used the 2.8v or 3.3v rail, also white isnt really a problem since you can use 2 leds in parralel in series with a diode or a resistor in order to get the proper current/forward voltage

The white led's looked elegant. The red/green/blue are tacky and make the phone look cheap. Cool video tho, awesome that you could at least get those three colors
The red on black looks OK, in particular in the day - but otherwise agree on the other color combos - and all look tacky at night since they're too bright and you can't see what it is.

The extra lighting will help when taking photos of other people because along with the flash you’re adding more light to the subject. And it’ll especially work best at night
You can have one white LED with a resistor for the iPone X. And something that would be really cool is that you could probably fit a ATtiny85 and interface it to the lightning port. Then you can change the color and even make it fade between different color from an app.

Barry b why should i buy something i don‘t want? 😅 The One Plus 5T is a great phone, i don‘t question that, but i am too much of an Apple Guy. My first Smartphone was an iPhone and i never switched. I saw many Android devices from my siblings, my parents and most of all my partners, but nobody was really happy about their android device and my parents for instance switched to iOS and are happy since then and so did my siblings and some friends of mine. It all comes down to personal preference and i really love iOS.

just use a 1K ohm resistor for the white LEDs so they wont burn up.
