Awesome reaction. This the first song of theirs I stumbled across and I've been hooked ever since. Im an old 80's thrasher and these ladies take me back. Another reactor had a perfect description of their music as "a love letter to 80's metal".

She is one of the co-authors of 'Break the Wall' ( lyrics - Miho / music - Miho, Miyako). Miho left LOVEBITES due to personal reasons in August 2021. Fami (bass, backing vocals) became a member of the band (officially announced) in October 2022.
Its like Slayer and Testament combined. Break The Wall is the ultimate thrash metal madness, gotta love it...One of my favorite Lovebitten songs for sure.
Midori's crazy solo, then Miho's decent bridge, and Miyako's Gary Moore inspired solo - just brilliant!

@@rainerzufall42 Okay maybe "Bass Hate" was a bit over the top but dismissive would fit You along with MOST others would completely ignore the Bass in favour of the Lead Guitarists basically to paraphrase " M&M were Brilliant Miho was decent" I realize that is probably not the case but that's how it read. Sorry I really have a thing for Bassists being treated like background characters.
Best metal band in the world today. Miyako & Midori are elite guitarists, there could not be a better sync than these 2 have. They revived my love for metal when I stumbed on them in late 2019. Can't wait to see them live in Atlanta in 2024.

In my opinion, that is one of the best thrash songs ever written. I also "love me some power metal", but this song is definitely not power metal - it is clearly thrash. It is far closer in sound to Slayer than Iron Maiden, although Slayer never thought to put a Gary Moore inspired blues solo in the middle of one of their songs.
Fully agree on this song being one of the best Thrash Metal songs. Actually, the sound of this live version comes even closer to Testament, especially their debut "The Legacy", which is 100% Thrash Metal. And the main riff of "Break the Wall" sounds very simliar to the riff you hear for the first time about 34 seconds into "Over the Wall", the opening track of Testament's debut, only the live sound of this version of "Break the Wall" is IMO even heavier/rawer than the sound on Testament's studio album.

This was Lovebites MK I and the goddess on bass was the original bass player Miho Rosana who was also the founder of the band. The song was more thrash metal a la Metallica, Slayer or Testament. The first video you posted was Lovebite MK II with the new great bass player FAMI. Respect cool reaction

Thrash Metal heaven! This live version, which is so far my favourite and sounds much heavier than the rather tame studio version, is definitely in the top 3 of my favourite songs by Lovebites.

I don't like seeing many reactors rate this song. This is because of the following reasons.
Many reactors stop the video midway between Midori and Miyako's solos, thinking, "This is the perfect time to pause the song!" I feel like that's the worst time to pause! The moment the sound transitions from Midori to Miyako is the moment when the two types of performance create a beautiful contrast. Pausing there feels like splitting one great guitar solo into two.

This was the 3rd song ever I heard them play (live). With no knowledge and history about them Miyako’s bleeding guitar sound in combination with Asami’s singing hit(s) me like lightning. Even after 5 years. I think the song is still highly underrated despite every reactor saying it’s fantastic. It will remain my favorite. Surely hope it’s going to be on their setlist on their European festivalgigs.

This song and particular live performance is my favorite live recorded thrash song ever. This is Lovebites' purest modernized 80's thrash song to my ears. I say Slayeresque, but whether them or Megadeth or Exodus or Testament etc, this song is pure thrash, and so much more. And this performance is literal perfection.
