Station People - Quorn Transport Films

- "Station People" is a film made during the third nation lockdown in early 2021 utilising pre-existing film owing to the inability go out and obtain new footage. "Station People" features mainly unused clips from our previous film "This is Quorn" but these have been interspersed with some previously seen and turned into an entirely new narrative.
In the week that Quorn & Woodhouse marks the anniversary of its closure, this film takes a humarous stint on the charaters that might have been found at a country railway station in its pre-preservation heyday, at a time when many of us are unable to be together to enjoy our hobby.
We are grateful for those additional photgraphic contributors who allowed us to use their footage for the making of this film.
Ask a young boy what he wants to be when he grows up and he'll probably reply an engine driver, for the romance of the steam locomotive for many is unsurpassed, however, there are many more places on the railway where this enchantment can be found, as, with an entirely new narrative, "Station People" aims to tell.
We are all looking forward at getting back to the station, partiucarly to start work on the next film, watch this space.
This is an impressive piece of movie making. From the narration in rhyme to the exposé of the characters as actors by changing from black and white to colour just for a few seconds, this is very clever.

Hello , Greetings from New Zealand ! , absolutely wonderful stuff , never tire of watching these brilliant productions . You must have so much fun making these short films , but also knowing you bring so much joy to people like me all over the world who watch them . Please give us some more , just good old fashioned wholesome viewing . hopefully one day when all this lockdown situation clears I can travel to England again and see this place for real , that would be nice . Beautifully made. Perfectly captures the BTF's confident commentary and heroic musical scores. If only rail travel was like that today...

Brilliant work - I love British Transport Films and this is a superbly accurate homage to the originals. You've done a great job which must have taken a lot of time and effort. Keep up the good work - I've subscribed and look forward to more in future. I remember the piece of music from an original BTF - can't remember which one. Many thanks.

The music was used for the Elizabethan film from KX to Edinburgh, same commentator,much the same language.

This is lovely and beautifully framed; the ob-board shots woudl benefit from being shot with a gumbal which woudl dramatically change the effect. Well done!

The only problem with these (and I've enjoyed a few), is that they're too good, a bit of crackle distortion on the audio, and an occasional flicker/spots/lines on the picture, and these would be perfect.

The rhymes are better than the original.
Paul Le Saux certainly did not receive any award for his script to the Elizabethan, on the contrary, it has since been mocked for it being so awful it's good.
