Random Chiptune #1 (Original Composition)

I've gotten back into music making again and I believe my skills have improved overtime, but before I wanted to make genuine new tracks again, I decided to finish up some older tracks I left unfinished because I was unsatisfied with them, and those happen to be two retro chiptunes. I think this one sounds fine, though may be a bit ear piercing for some, the melody is quite messy as is some of the mixing but I did my best to salvage the track.
Probably won't do any chiptunes for quite while since Soundtrap really isn't the best way to do it when stuff like Famitracker exists.
Also took a bit of time to get this video out, I even wanted to release it before the Endventures one, but I couldn't because I really wanted to get waveform visualization in the video but struggled to find a free source, but thankfully musicvid.org saved me and also gave me a nice star background to use.

Not bad! It's got a nice retro 80s videogame feel to it that I like! Only one thing is that it doesn't sound like it's adhering to a specific time signature which makes some elements of it feel disjointed rather than syncopated. If it's intentional, great, if not, it might be something to work on.

I have yet to extensively study time signatures or nail down a specific one for song without wanting to constantly change it due to how my mindset for composing works.

@@CobaltXMusic you’ll probably like the second chip tune much better when I upload it, since I think it feels a bit more consistent.
