Learn FreeCAD: #14 Helical Toolpath and 3D pocket - Tutorial

  • This is a video tutorial about how to generate helical and 3D pocket toolpaths in FreeCAD. A helical path follows a screw-like pattern and a 3 dimensional path uses many 2D layers to form a pocket with an uneven bottom surface.
    I am using FreeCAD version 0.17.

    Great Video, thanks. But could you still make a little tutorial for make a toolpath in a rectangle pocket with roundet corners?
    I try a few day but i didn`t find the correct definition for the toolpath.

    I've been trying to do the same thing you did in this vid but I can't get it to work no matter what I try. Only thing different is I'm using 0.18 FC

    don't know how about you guys but I'd rather use the spiral motion for most of the round millings
