A Spailpín A Rún - Seán 'Ac Dhonncha

Another restored cut from the the LP, "An Aill Bháin - The White Rock - Songs in Irish and English from Connemara", from 1971/1972, which featured multiple a capella tunes, sung by Seán 'Ac Dhonncha of Connemara, Galway, Ireland.
The song, "A Spailpín A Rún", or "O Spailpin, My Dear" is in Gaelic, and is a traditional song with a complicated plot, regarding the advances of a mother and daughter towards a Spailpin, or migrant farm worker.
Seán 'Ac Dhonncha was a first rate traditional singer, who recorded with the Gael Linn, and won a gold medal at the 1953 Oireachtas.
