In the AUUUUDITORIUM on the second floor, narrators share expedition stories that interweave the real and the fantastical. Similarly, the clip fuses archives and imagination. It unfolds like flipping through a series of photographs, only returning to normal speed near the end.
As we reflect on “ourselves” and “our location”, the past and the present become non-linear jigsaw pieces, enabling the quest for truth to be reinterpreted over and over again.
In spring 2024, The Rockbund Art Museum launched a long-term research project consisting of a series of exhibitions and programs. By inviting visitors to join a new movement of “Study”, RAM seeks to encourage critical inquiry into the existing indigenous knowledge system.
