Cornelis Hollestein´s Legendary Hare's Ear Nymph

This version of the classic Gold ribbed hare’s ear has been in in my fly boxes för more than 30 years. This generic nymph pattern has been producing fish consistently in both lakes and streams all over the world. It’s one of my go-to flies and I would not leave home without it.
Tread: Textreme standard 8/0, Light brown, brown, dark brown
Hook: Tiemco 2312 8-10, Partridge H1A long nymph 8-10 or as a barbless alternative Hanak H290BL
Weight: 4-12 turns lead/leadfree wire 0.20/025.
Tail: Hare’s fur piece
Ribb: UTC French tinsel gold small/medium
Body: Hare’s ear dubbing
Thorax: Ringneck pheasant cock tailfeather + Hare’s ear dubbing

Where do I get one of those dubbing mixers??

It's a coffee grinder, many people use them to blend dubbing. Cheap and effective, unlike many other things in fly tying/fishing! :)
