This is my go to setup for pole work as well, xero micro and excellerator 2.0. I agree the new 2.0 closes out awesome!! If anyones on the fence go buy the xero micro & 2.0 you won't be disappointed😎
You are freaking awesome SteveO. I'm trying out my new pink carbon fiber pole today and needed some inspiration. I got it here, as usual!
Can't believe you don't have have a wfp set up in the van! Would take you half the time, would clean the windows and frames and would earn YOU more money! Trust me I have been using it for 20 years 👍
Pole cleaning is SO HARD. I tried it once and it went so poorly I never tried again. Will dig it out again. THANK YOU
Lol that lady in the beginning....WAIT A DAMN SEC!
Luke The Window Cleaner I was surprised she didn’t kick the camera
Big booty!😜
Great video topic! I find this to be one of the hardest things... it feels comfortable to ladder up but a lot of work, and waterfed pole for tall jobs is nice... very few would feel comfortable doing what you're doing here.
Chris Simmons this combo of tools though make it definitely a lot easier
I thank you for the video specifically the intro 😂😂
Absolutely awesome intro shot at the beginning of your video. Lol
Excellent fan work my dad would have liked that.
Thanks for the video! You’re a beast with that pole work! I just picked mine up and already Moded it with the Ettore brass channel as well! Thanks for the advice!
Nice video. I got the 2.0 handle about a month ago and I love it. I was not sure that moreman could make the excelorater handle better but in my opinion they did.
Derek Holloway it’s a lot better imo
I like this tool for some angled windows like arches and triangles but i still prefer to straight pull with a backflip for large square or rectangular panes. I find the Fliq uses your wrists more to fan back and forth and also to fliq the pad over...But the Backflip is heavier so its a trade off. Still got to try a carbon fiber trad pole!
Awesome video! I'm going to get that pole soon and order from Jordie! I do high pole work on one building with a similar situation with water.
I've found that my footwork game is stronger and that really helps my shoulder strain from a previous injury..Footwork is everything for me for pole work!
Awesome video Steveo!
Casey Lee this setup makes it so easy, shoulder pain can be a real pain in the ass, I feel you there
Thanks for all your videos SteveO you are a bloody champion! I have this 2.0 setup now just wondering what angle your using here for best close out up high? thanks
How do you go about your detailing on these? I've found it all dries by the time I go back to detail
I live in a townhouse with a narrow walkway and driveway and three levels of windows. I find the height and the narrow areas below the windows make it so that I can't effectively clean all the windows. Any tips, SteveO? Thanks!

Your definitely right about having the right tools. Is this the Moerman Excelerator 2.0 sorry if it’s a dumb question. New to this business.
What solution do u use
how does he go from foaming the window to wiping it all the way up there? Doesnt he need to switch blades?
Using a combo tool like this one that has the scrubber and squeegee in one tool windowcleaner.com/moerman-excelerator-3-0?pt=MY
Hi, thanks for all the nice content!
Which size does the trad pole have? 16ft?
Im not sure which one to get for commercials.
Thanks 🙏
I'm new to your channel and was wondering if you could explain the words you use often like, close out, channel, etc. I've watched various videos of yours and I am able to figure out most of them, but the rest leave me confused. I sure would appreciate it!
That is a difficult cleaning job like that. You make it look easy. The pole is heavy wanting to move around and hard to keep the squegge flat and not streak the glass all up.
Hey Stevo, I know this is a little late after this video, but a friend and I recently got into window cleaning, and both of us are struggling to pick up pole work. What would you recommend for us to get better? Our other problem is that we scrub down the window and by the time we get the squeegee up there, the soap is already dried to the window. We’d appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
Try to use one of the squeegees I use in this video...windowcleaner.com/moerman-excelerator-2-0
Is there a need to dry the windows or do they dry themselves?
Steveo what if I’m afraid of climbing ladders?
I’m terrified of the 28ft but I really want to clean windows. Any tips?
How does the water on the corner get cleaned, since you are not using the ladder and cleaning it towel. Like the line in the corner and straight down?
29sec to 35sec was the best part. Baby got back!
How do you know if you get any streaks when using the pole, when you can't really see it up close?
You dont ;)
Just hope for the best i guess then lol
Also do you not detail the sides? I get streaks along the sides if I don't detail, maybe I'm doing something wrong?
What brand are this tools? Where can I buy them? Please respond I will appreciate that I need that pole
Hey! All available at window cleaning resource windowcleaner.com/MY
Don't suppose that will go on the end of a gardiner WFP will it?
I suppose the water-fed pole with filtered water is easier to use, but your seems like a simpler/cheaper setup (no need for filtered water, hoses, brushes, etc) ?
That pole is a water-fed pole though...i clicked the link
You got some skills there, SteveO!
I’ve always had issues closing out with the original excelorator on high windows. This one does better?
Josh Dicus way better!!
Josh Dicus what angle do you set the squeegee handle?
SteveO The Window Cleaner Hey SteveO what angle on the Excelerator do you use on the high windows
@@manuelybarra6069 I also need an answer to this
see, I gotta learn how to do that man. That is awesome, something I would no doubt HAVE to set a waterfed pole system up to get to.
also, those clips fit on ettore channel? nice.
The xero micro pole really helps make it easier
I have people asking me to do their 3 story windows on a hill. How am I supposed to do that? Would you say just go 3 stories on a ladder and do it by hand? Bc I don't wanna do that 😂
Can be done by ladder or use a wfp setup windowcleaner.com/products/the-ultimate-residential-kit?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Good technique mate. Could I suggest you consider buying a pump sprayer, filling it up With water and detergent, running hose up your pole and attaching a little sprayer on the squeegee handle to wet the glass. That way you never have to bring your pole down to the bucket which is brutal on your back and shoulders. I’ve done a few vids on it if you think it may help. You can always keep your fliq pad hydrated that way.
Travis SFWC would love that!!
Here’s an old vid of a system I rigged up for a small pole, but it works just as well on 30-40 foot pole work
m.czcams.com/video/CxbgC7gAa40/video.html
If you want any more details, happy to help out
Where can I find out the price of the kit you're using in this video?
No one like u . ur the best
What pole do you use
nice one. That carbon fiber pole seems to bend and wable too much... I have a 10m one and its stiff and doesnt bounce when bent... I should try that one from... unger? mine was custom made from a carbon fiber manufacturer
Limpiezas MyG I feel like it’s pretty rigid in my opinion
I hope to be this good one day.
can you reply back to o0ne question that i have, what degree do you have that ex
elerator on for the high windows?
Hey, all 40 degrees for these windows
Would it be possible to get a link to this pole?
windowcleaner.com/products/xero-micro-basic-carbon-fiber-water-fed-pole?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS Here you go
👍I'm gonna have to get me 1 of those!!
I'm just curious: Is that 30' pole at full extension?
What I'm wondering is, it's reaching pretty high (I'd guess 3rd floor), so would it reach one more level?
Mark J it one point it’s pretty close to fully extended, but most the time around 20-25 feet
What kind of bag you have on your belt?
What pole is that? I use the garelick 24' telescopic. I think it's great, its strong and strudy as hell. I like the contour + for ledges as well but i might look as the 2.0
Michael Silver I use to have that pole as well but this is way more rigid and gives you amazing control at 30’

Buy the x line 45 litre tank best investment ever especially for buildings like that and houses and court yard areas, carry some pure water in 20 litre containers and your all set .. 💰💰
Where did you get that pouch (on the back of ur belt) at
Nekko Wink Lowe’s
Nekko Wink, another good pouch I recommend is the Dickies work gear 8 pocket pouch(Amazon) Can hold everything in one pouch.👍
@@eschwake18 57000 or 57075?
I do wonder how you would do this on 2 story residential homes when coming to detailing
I'm just having this problem...
Steve Richardson happy labor day Sir. Where is the best place you buy all supplies?
Jetstar Transportation www.windowcleaner.com
Can you please tell me where i can buy this pole
xeroproducts.com/products/xero-micro-basic-carbon-fiber-water-fed-pole?_pos=1&_psq=xero+bare+micro&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=42883883794599&sca_ref=2801129.znl4R3VGiy
its the bare version of this
Nice intro👌
is that a 14" or 18" channel you're using?
Todd Matthews 18”
Is it possible to residential work like this
No, this is maintained commercial work. I’ve only used this on very few high windows in residential that are not possible to get with a ladder
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner dam not a fan of ladders n can't afford a wfp set up yet back to the drawing board I guess thanks tho
Love it.. Awesome
Hey Steve-O! Thanks for the vids. What’s an efficient and user friendly squeegee for ground level storefront accounts with a pole? I’ve been doing straight puills but want to start doing fan work with a swivel, thanks man
Manny Amenta this handle with an ettore brass channel
Manny Amenta windowcleaner.com/moerman-excelerator-2-0?pt=MY
Nice work Stevo, I'm using an old accelerator handle & getting better every day with that type of pole work, huge time saver once you start getting it right, still waiting on suppliers here in Australia to stock the 2.0, they are dragging the chain!
roadagain65 you’ll love the 2.0! Light years better
Super 👍
👌😀good job
Steve are you filing back the teeth on the 2.0 to fit the brass channel properly?
roadagain65 you can but you don’t have to, you’ll need a little duck tape on the channel though if your using an ettore channel, I have the handle with shaved off teeth and with them not removed and both work great
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner cheers Steve
Oh buy the way; are those 22" double bend Ledgers available yet?
Todd Matthews they will not be for sale unfortunately
Hey what is the name of the tool bag you have on?
Its a kobalt carpenter belt pouch
Where did you get the belt from ?
Home depot
cool
What length is the trad pole?
This pole is 30'
How do you detail high windows from ground level?
Wrap a towel around the tip of the pole, for commercial buildings like this its okay to leave a little on the sides
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner wow man thanks for the reply 👍
So many innuendos that come to mind....
"its so long its hard to get this thing" 7:53 hahaha
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner I'm a 13 year old at heart!
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner The struggle is real 😐
🤣
You make that look way too easy...
Atta boy stevo
Flex
why not a waterfed pole for this?
Its just how we did this particular job for many years and was cleaned often
There’s nothing like getting up there with a lift, your scrapers, dusters, and window cleaning supplies for those high rise areas.
Your on the floor, and your window cleaner and squeegee is up there.
How the heck are you supposed to see the quality of your work when you’re grounded???
You mad bro?
do those windows not need detailing?
kymbo72 they have a small bead of water on the sides but nothing to worry about, if it was a home I would detail a little but no need here
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner how would you detail with it that high? If it was a home
You know... this how I get down!
To flick the pad up easier. Try putting the pole more vertical and flick.
what degree do you have the excelerator handle
for sure 40
40
It depends how close I am to the glass. 40 when I’m really close to glass ie on a deck. 0 When I can stand away from the window. Less streaking at zero. The -10 when I close out low.
И зачем нужно WFP?
👍🏻
0:27 Like people in traffic, rushing to the red light... 🛑🚦✋ then puts face in phone oblivious to the real world.
Scott W. Exactly, she only stopped for a second and right back to her phone, I was surprised she didn’t kick the camera
Hi
Window cleaner hi
😎👍
Dam that lady with all that meat sheesh 🙄
It'd be much better off using a backflip
