  • Oh man I love this song. Limp Bizkit was actually the first band I listened to that involved heavy guitar playing.
    I always admired the band's style and footprint in music history.
    For me personally, Wes Borland is one of the coolest guitarists out there. He might not be the biggest shredder, but he certainly knows songwriting and guitar sounds.
    Gear:
    Maya LP Clone.
    Ernie Ball strings
    Tuning: F# f# B E G# C#
    Amp: Line6 POD HD Pro
    Recording:
    I recorded these guitar parts 100% live.
    All guitar tones come straight from the POD. No EQ or compression added in ProTools.
    The amp simulations I used are the Mesa Boogie for heaviness and Roland Jazz Chorus for cleans.
    All rights remain with Limp Bizkit.
    Please check out my band if you're interested:

    If you’re wondering why this song only uses 4 of the strings, it’s because this song was actually recorded on a 4 string tenor guitar. Wes still switches to a tenor for this song to this day.

    • @TheRealMattFromWiiSports
      @TheRealMattFromWiiSports Před 9 měsíci

      Ok you said tenor twice so that proves you don't know what you're talking about. It's a four string BARITONE. Also no one that hasnt read this or found out from another source would ever look a at a cover of a nu metal song and go "hey he's only using*x* amount of strings. And don't even say "I did" because you didn't over half the shit you said was wrong

      Digging into it he's taking the complete melodic line and removing certain notes (like jazz, it's the notes you're not playing) The way it bounces with Sam rivers bass makes it sound almost played backwards.
