Hi all my Rc friends.
In this video, we are going to be completing the upgrades on the Traxxas TRX 4M defender
We are going to be fitting the Injora aluminium gearbox housing, 55T motor, metal reduction gears and the hardened driveshafts
Will be showing in detail how to assemble all these items and fit the gearbox back.
All the upgrades were purchased from Injora.com
I am still looking for or an aluminium or carbon fibre battery tray to replace the original battery tray. If anybody knows where I can get one from. Please let me know in the comments.

That's the last one on that vehicle for a while until I can find a battery tray.
There is now no Traxxas left besides body, battery tray, and ECM

Yeah it's still got the original battery tray, electronics, and the body. 😅😂
I'm trying to find a different battery tray! the electronics I will probably use until they die.
The electronics have actually done really well considering! It's got a 11 kg servo, light bar, light kit, bumper lights and it's running an upgraded motor.

Another great video! Was there a reduction in noise with the aluminum transmission? I am using the original plastic one with metal reduction gears and the gear whine is pretty loud.

There is definitely a difference between the original transmission housing and the plastic one.
I had the same problem it was extremely noisy with the plastic transmission.
As you can hear in the video it was nice and quiet.
Both motors are also worth it, the 55T is better if you want a nice slow crawl, I am not saying that you don't get a slow crawl with the 48t motor, just that it's a little bit different at the low end and got some more speed to it when you need it on slippery climbs.
All in all I'm very happy with all the products I installed in this video.
In some time I will let you know how it all holds up.

So which is better, the red one or the purple one?

If you want really slow smooth control, the red motor is better, if you want a bit more speed and power then the purple 48T motor is the one to go for!
Both motors are huge improvement over the original motor.
