Can’t tell you how heartbroken I was that this only got 560 or so backers! I just really think the campaign was too short! I didn’t hear about it till the final 2 weeks, and I needed another week’s notice before I could raise the funds myself. I wonder if they’d ever consider trying the campaign again.

I'm confused. The toy company Hasbro is asking for money from at least 3,000 people, so they can make this toy to sell.?
I've never heard of a multi million dollar toy company asking for an advance on a toy. Is Hasbro in financial trouble.?

This is not a toy. The reason the do campaigns like this is when it is a VERY niche product. They are testing to see if people are even interested in it. This is common for products that are collectibles and a limited run. No risk.
The benefit I get is if this campaign is fully backed, then the one I ordered will come in.

I know how simple it is, but could you please try to show us how to make an externally controlled eye mechanism? You said just to put a spring, braided fishing line, and teflon tubes inside the head. I tried and failed with each attempt. While some worked, they either fell apart, were finicky, or impossible to reproduce. Please show us how you would do it! Thank you and bless you.

They should've invested more into advertising this and given it more time. I just found out about this today through someone else, and I don't think they are going to find over 2500 backers in under 5 days. The press for this item is just way too low. They would have to hire a bigger youtuber to show it off, such as draw with jazza or someone similar. I'm sure people would buy it if they just knew this was going on.

@@PuppetNerd If I offended you... I'm sorry. But to be fair; no where in my post did I claim nor say I believed you were paid. And so, your last sentence just comes across as entirely unprovoked and unnecessary.
I only said that Hasbro should've invested into more advertising by paying a bigger youtuber to show it off. Many companies do that these days, so it's not unreasonable for a company like Hasbro to have marketed themselves that way if the higher ups in corporate really cared- considering how expensive this product is and the fact that viral support is essentially required to make it succeed in such a short timeframe. Especially with only 4 days remaining; at this point it may require a miracle.
But upon further research, it seems like they've done little to no marketing in the first place(including on the 600$ transformer campaign thats going on at the same time), so I suppose saying so doesn't matter.
They don't seem to be making much effort to help it spread- So they are going to have to learn that you can't succeed on these fundraising projects if you only barely try. The sad thing is that it probably means the loss of this particular product, and that IS a tragedy since it's so well made. All it needed was more time and more advertising.
Especially since international people are unable to purchase it through the actual site- which puts the campaign at a significant disadvantage in the first place.
Also, for the record; I only used Jazza as an example since he has a big userbase as an artist youtuber. I was actually going to say Markiplier or someone similar, but the audience wouldn't fit the demographic and people that big would be too expensive. So me mentioning Jazza does not necessarily mean he is the best fit. However, hours before your comment; I already mentioned it on one of his videos. So I did, In fact. Take action; contrary to apparent popular belief.
I've never seen your channel before, but you certainly do great work in your craft and put a lot of passion into it. So I wish you the best, and I hope your community continues to grow.
Saying “they should have hired a bigger CZcamsr ”implies that they hired a smaller CZcamsr. They way you broke it down makes sense but it’s silly to think that’s the takeaway majority of people will have whether or not you intended it.

$300 is an insanely good deal. It would cost more than that in materials alone. Not to mention the hours in building and figuring it out.

Adam Kreutinger haha! It is nice to see a replica finally being made available (possibly) in a large scale. I hope the production monsters look the same as this prototype. I know Master replicas did some back in the day but unfortunately their production puppets looked nothing like the prototype. Thanks for sharing this I’m gonna put in my order tomorrow
