    If you are in the market for your next car or next project you have to check this classic out because with the deal not only are you getting a complete, fully restored, beautifully done 1970 Plymouth GTX but a second engine, a set of wheels, and a ton of restored parts. This way should you want to take the car completely back to original you can or maybe find a body and build yourself a second one! When completely restored the factory numbers matching original 440 motor was removed and replaced with a 440 six barrel motor. However, while the new motor was being built to the exact 1969 1/2 six barrel specs the original motor was also being restored to factory condition. Both motors came out beautifully and look right at home in the car. The original is currently sitting on an engine stand but is fully painted, etc. It comes with the original complete 4 barrel intake, carburetor, air cleaner, distributor wires, and valve covers which were all original and restored. The six barrel motor that is in the car has an awesome look and runs EXTREMELY well. It has no leaks or any issues whatsoever. It has only been driven 1400 miles with this motor over the past 5 years during which the oil was changed 7 times! That should show you how well the car was really cared for. All the machine work on both motors was professionally done by Scottsdale Machine and reciepts outlining the build come with the car. They are practically brand new from top to bottom and have been detailed out to the highest degree. Original mopar decals and the mopar battery show are examples of this level detail. The chrome valve covers are a 1970 Plymouth 440 stamped steel set which was trip show plated and then installed with the correct style anchor bolts.
    On top of being a unique deal, the car itself is actually quite rare. It was factory ordered with an Air Grabber hood and is a factory Super Track Pack car with a factory 4 speed and 4:10 Dana 60 rear end. These components are all still in place with the motor being the only big replacement on the car. Everything else is original. It is equipped with a power steering and power disc brakes set up as well as an AM/FM radio which are all some rare options.
    The body of this classic is painted a very nice Blue which has a beautiful show quality finish. This is then combined with Black stripes and the Legendary Black vinyl roof to complete the mopar look. All of the exterior chrome has just as perfect of a finish as the rest of the car with zero issues.
    Pop open the door and you will be greeted with an original style interior that you will swear has been redone. Well that isn't the case because besides the carpet everything in this time capsule was installed in 1970. It is done in all Black upholstery that looks amazing for its age. All of the wood grain trim pieces are still there and looks just as nice. The original center console sits nicely between the high back bucket seats and houses the pistol grip Hurst shifter.
    Take some time to really look this car over because you won't find another deal like this. Before the televised auctions informed the world that factory specs and factory motors drove the price up people would often replace their engines without thinking twice about it. This resulted in a lot of cars you see nowadays not having factory motors and their owners not even knowing where those motors may be. That or they did keep it but it is now totally frozen up do to age. Here you get it all, fully restored, and needing nothing!

    always loved Mopar and hated chevys. but 40-50 years later I appreciated a great 454 ss chevelle and a 390 Fairlane as much as a hemi dart......hehe....well almost as much. naw seriously all muscle cars are great.. Only dodge had six packs, Plymouth called theirs 440 +6 or 440 6 bbl. Says it on the air grabber and on the air cleaner. She's A beauty. What a body style

    I guess that 440 Six Pack sounds cooler than 440+6! Plymouth had the 440 6 BBL and the 440+6, Dodge had the SIX PACK and the 440 SIX PACK!

    • @ClassicalGasMotors
      @ClassicalGasMotors  Před 5 lety +1

      Six Pack was a label, it all referred to the same thing but yeah the six pack name sounds cooler so is what stuck I guess. "Bold decals on the Queen Mary-sized scoop announced to the competition what artillery you were packing ("440-6" on the Dodge, "440 6 BBL" on the Plymouth). The '69 'Bee deserves special mention here. Since it was the first car to wear the Six Pack label, it is, of course, the image that pops into most Mopar gearhead's minds when someone says Six Pack. Sure, we know the '69 'Runner was the same car; it just didn't say Six Pack." That's from a pretty interesting write up about it on allpar.com

    again....gorgeous car. but it does NOT have a 440 six pack. only dodge called them six packs. Plymouth had 440+6 barrels. most of them say it right on the hood. gtxs only came with 2 engine options 440 six barrel or 426 hemi

      +stripervince1 Thanks for the complements on the car. You may be correct but I am not positive. Check out this article www.allpar.com/mopar/440.html. "For 1970, Chrysler wasn't about to let a good thing slip through their hands again, so they tooled up for an in-house iron version of the
      manifold. They also vastly widened the motor's availability, making it
      an option for the 'Cuda, Challenger, Road Runner, Super Bee, GTX,
      Coronet R/T, Charger R/T and "winged-thing No. 2," the Superbird."

      @stripervince1 Před 8 lety +1

    Everyone knows it is a nice car, next time have someone narrate who at least knows muscle cars. Tell about transmission, differential, codes, trim tag etc. The car deserves that.

      Thanks for the opinion. That being said there is a huge description including a lot of information about the car. These videos are primarily to let people have a chance to hear the car before they decide to check them out in person or buy. They are always posted with a ton of info about them.
