'Man With Golden Voice' Returns to Radio Five Years After Being Homeless

- The once homeless man with a golden voice made his return to the radio station where he got his start. Ted Williams, dubbed "the man with golden voice" after a video of him went viral, returned to the gospel show where a DJ was in the 1980s. He told INSIDE EDITION: "Never in my wildest dream could I have ever imagined being back right here. Listen, five years ago I was under a bridge." He was homeless for 14 years and battled drugs and alcohol. He's says he's been clean for over four years. #InsideEdition

i remember the day meeting him. it was 2016. i was 11 and was sitting at roosters (restaurant) eating food and my parents saw him just outside and pointed him out saying "oh look it's ted williams!" and i didn't know him. he then comes over to our table and starts talking to me. he is a very kind and gentle soul. we got pictures with him and he even gave us a caricature with his signature on it. we got a frame for it and it's been hanging in the hallway ever since :)

Whenever I hear his "THANKYOU SO MUCH" it's like something strikes my heart
You can tell he was feeling the spirit at the end, made me smile.
I clapped after reading his story. He is my very first Role Model: he is NOT perfect, but has proven time and time again, he can rationalize through his mistakes and rebound into glory. Not only that, he gives a damn about this world. Based on his desire to spend and build more homeless public programs (out of his pocket), he's remained consistent to his virtues namely: that he wants to "Inspire" the ordinary citizen to help the world.
A man who wants to prove that you CAN be successful AND a good person, and to always know there is always hope no matter the situation, no matter how hard you fell. The important thing is to rebound and come out and learn from ones mistakes.
