I love where you mounted the tips. I agree with you I don't like when they hang out a mile past the diffuser (seems a lot of people like it that way though). Sounds sick though much deeper and throaty
Good to know! Right now I enjoy it as it’s a bit louder than my old setup. Luckily I still have the secondary cat from my downpipe so if I begin to find the tone obnoxious I can always go back to the catted setup to clean it up a bit
Nice man! We will see haha! As I get older I’m started to appreciate better tones and nice exhausts rather than the loud ass ones lol. So I may be going your route soon!
Think for me this is the right volume and tone for these cars. Straight pipe is awful on the platform. A good muffler and resonator setup will always do it here
Yeah I would never straight pipe this car lol. Agree it doesn’t sound great. I think for me this is the best overall sound I may get but we will see lol I get pretty indecisive
Thanks man! And tbh not very much drone even at 70mph. It’s very bearable. If it gets worse for whatever reason I can also throw my secondary cat back in to tone it down
On the stock rear muffler what are the two black boxes? Did these have stock valves on the muffler? Nice car dude. I've one lined up to get soon. How do you find the reliability of these? The s3c seems pretty good.
External mic setup actually! Sounds better off camera imo I’ve been trying to find a better mix solution for clearer exhaust sounds without the mic peaking so much. I would go for it!
Quick question man! Ive been running eqt's e30 tune and last year i had misfires on 1 and 3 and a year later im getting the problem again, you think it could be the tune? You ever have any misfires? Let me know!
Hey man I’ve never had any issues at all with tuning. Now there’s a few things to look at. It could be your plugs or coils or even the grounds on top of the coils which are known to go bad. They recommend changing plugs around ever 10k miles because of wear and tear. I myself change plugs every other oil change. I change my oil ever 3k Miles so every 6k im doing now plugs. Gotta pay to play sometimes haha
@DArias dope, i was for some reason under the impression that it was downsized for for stock DP. Been thinking about swaping my system to this one cause of that resonator it has(mines non-res) and didnt want to get this and have to chop it up off top to work with 3" DP.
@@DArias Hey Bro, I actually just got the CTS downpipe for my S3. On the forums a few people stated they had issues with fitment? It was hanging too low? and the hangers were off? I was a bit concerned after seeing that. Way back when you installed your CTS downpipe do you remember how the install went? Any glaring issues at all? I don't wanna have to return it lol. I am digging how the MBRP exhaust sounds BTW, hell yeah
Thanks! I need a better mic setup for exhaust videos though. Even on the lowest setting the mic peaks and it’s tough to capture the true sound it makes

The turbo whistle is so good
Much louder with this setup for sure!
I have the same one. I love it, but I wound up going back to a catted setup. Having just a 200 cell really cleans up the lower rpm under load noises.

@@DArias that's exactly what I did. I was catless for about a year, then put a cat in.

Sweet sounds man. The valved exhaust would have been really cool too if you were going to go that route. Still it sounds SWEET
Absolutely I would have loved the valved one but I’m super happy with this one!
Great video bro as always

Nice setup man and it sound and looks good. Like it a lot
Thanks man!
Sounds so damn good man
Thank you
Nice! I’m too poor for a real exhaust 😂😂
Love it man, have you experienced any kind of drone?
Thanks man! And tbh not very much drone even at 70mph. It’s very bearable. If it gets worse for whatever reason I can also throw my secondary cat back in to tone it down
Did you have any rubbing issues with this exhaust? Or weird rubbing sounds after install?
That road over there at night is fun as fuck to drive on
Very! Lol

Sounds insanely good man! Just got this catback on my a3 quattro and was wondering what downpipe? Catless?
I love it bro wow
Thanks man!
Those driving clips was the audio recorded in the cabin ? Sounds great btw, thinking about getting this for my vortex xl a3
External mic setup actually! Sounds better off camera imo I’ve been trying to find a better mix solution for clearer exhaust sounds without the mic peaking so much. I would go for it!
Do you do any work on the side for other vehicles? I’m in Bergen County and also own an S3.
The exhaust system looks really nice but i think that sound is to much, short trips will maybe be okej but long trips for sure it will be a nightmare

Really curious to see how the pops sound with this setup
I’ll never find out haha no pops and bangs on my tune
welcome to the MBRP dark side!
Thank you!
That’s nasty 😝🤟🏽🔥

I like It 🔥🔥
Thank you!
What DP are you running and did you have to do anything to catback to fit onto DP?
I’m running a CTS downpipe and no modification was needed it’s a direct fit

Whit this down pipe are you able to pass emissions or do you have to go back to stock cat to pass
