    Great video, thank you. In part thanks to it I’d managed to get my first win against FM in OTB 3+2 blitz yesterday (I’d played exchange Caro as black). It was an unrated game and I won on time in a completely lost position down on material with my King on g2 and Queens still on board but still my first win against FM OTB 😅

    4:00 I have a question about exchanging the bishops on f5 in the 6. a3 line. Once the exchange is made, what would black do about king safety? Castling either way looks to leave the king exposed to the point where I would seriously consider not castling in that position.

    • @doormatcat
      @doormatcat Před 3 lety +1

      Don't castle and defend the light squares near the king well since he himself is on the light squares. Also be careful of knights jumping in on dark squares in your territory since those are weak.

    • @issum1016
      @issum1016 Před 8 měsíci

      You can castle. Although your king looks very open unsafe, its quite safe. Just try playing against yourself or stockfish as white and youll see that its quite safe.

    In h3 line what if white plays Qc2 after g6 still controlling f5?

    I do have a question. If White plays h3, then we move our Bishop to F5 and BxB, then we take back on gxf5. What's Blacks castling situation? Do we just keep king in middle? King or Queenside castling in this position looks a bit shaky . Thanks
