One of the best videos perfect english no messing around no time waste great job done.congrats man
Great video, thank you. In part thanks to it I’d managed to get my first win against FM in OTB 3+2 blitz yesterday (I’d played exchange Caro as black). It was an unrated game and I won on time in a completely lost position down on material with my King on g2 and Queens still on board but still my first win against FM OTB 😅
Alex, you are a wonderful teacher
Thank you... Amazing material to learn
i was thinking about learning caro kann but was too lazy for it i guess, with this video i remembered that we have a playlist for caro kann. now i don't have any excuses i guess🤔 thanks guys✌️
You're right! No excuses 😉

Excellent presentation. Shows your gift for instruction. :-)
Very good video and very clear!
Thanks!
Great video. Thanks! I really like your explanations. I have a minor question: at 5:29 there should be a white pawn on h3, right?
Excelent vídeo and analisis thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Plenty of weapons here. Many thanks Alex.

Sir Alex your great coach
Thank you very much!
master teach me that idea
It's funny because IM Andrey Ostrovskiy beat me with Exchange variation in the Caro-Kann in one of his live streams :-D
Haha. Hopefully this video helps you further when you have next time the Caro-Kann Exchange Variation on the board 😉.
Hi Alex 🙏
Terima kasih 🇮🇩
I’ve seen this chess set on amazon. Would you recommend it?
Can you guys please make something on Jerome gambit ? Anyways keep up the good work
Nah I prefer real openings like the bird's
@@johnk3841 even I prefer solid openings but it's a fun gambit to play and explore
The Jerome gambit is on our radar. Stay tuned!
@@shivprateek2740 im kidding bro i love jerome
4:00 I have a question about exchanging the bishops on f5 in the 6. a3 line. Once the exchange is made, what would black do about king safety? Castling either way looks to leave the king exposed to the point where I would seriously consider not castling in that position.
Don't castle and defend the light squares near the king well since he himself is on the light squares. Also be careful of knights jumping in on dark squares in your territory since those are weak.
You can castle. Although your king looks very open unsafe, its quite safe. Just try playing against yourself or stockfish as white and youll see that its quite safe.
In h3 line what if white plays Qc2 after g6 still controlling f5?
Nice video
Thanks!
I do have a question. If White plays h3, then we move our Bishop to F5 and BxB, then we take back on gxf5. What's Blacks castling situation? Do we just keep king in middle? King or Queenside castling in this position looks a bit shaky . Thanks
Same question in mind 2 years later... Did you have and answer now? ;o) It will help. Thanks.

what about 4.Nf3?
when i'm playing w/the black pieces i love the caro kann is there any books that you recommend???
Glad you ask! This book might be something for you: www.newinchess.com/bologan-s-caro-kann
Some ppeople attack with the flank pawn right away wht about tht
Oh nvm. Now is it why there is no h3 pawn.
