I’ve installed many of these. You’ll find your corner for the most part are never square. I always make a template to size the tile. I take two triangular pieces of cardboard and place them up on the step a against the wall then place a piece of tape across the center overlap. Just transfer your outline to your tile. If two pieces of tile set tile up with proper gap then lay your template over it and mark your tile. I use a fine tip black marker ... except on travertine ... use a pencil. Then place your cut tile for fit. Scribe the underside of tile to find front edge to cut. Make adjustments for any trim. Black tip marker removes easily with alcohol... later.
Oh .... almost for got. I don’t put these until after I tile the shower. Don’t have to worry about cutting relief tile around the step or shelf .... have never had a problem and a lot neater installation. Later.
do they make a bench that go all the way floor so it will be sure to hold a bigger person I need it to hold least 250lbs if it breaks I could really get hurt I have a rubber back no bone I need one I can put in now the shower already finished with tile I got a chair in there but floor not level so the chair don't work good it slides around

Any slope so the water will run off the seat?
What do you do with the underside?
Key is to clean out the joints while it’s still wet. I use an old paintbrush and water

Not good way not stong enought should put wall tile on top of bench
Was that fat mud that was used for floating the seat ? If not What kind of mortar for the floating
is the same process for cultured marble?
