  • Chinese automakers are accelerating efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into their vehicles' cockpits to boost safety and elevate people's driving experiences.
Chinese NEV brand Jiyue Auto, a joint venture between automaker Geely and tech giant Baidu, is one of the early adopters in the race to use AI in passenger vehicles.
Its AI-based voice assistant SIMO can do things like open the doors or trunk, but it can also manage "personal assistant" tasks like drafting a speech then sending it to an app on your phone.
According to a report from global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co, China is set to become the world's largest market for autonomous vehicles, with revenues expected to exceed 500 billion U.S. dollars by 2030.
