- I took a CEN Racing Ford F450 Super Duty (Dually) and made it in to a No Prep Drag Truck (Not an F450 RC Burnout Truck). Using parts from the Team Associated DR10 No Prep Drag Car it was pretty simple! It's closer enough to the 4th July, so a little bit of USA for you :) #july4th #F450 #Superduty
If you clicked on the video thinking it was a Real F450 Dually and not an RC Truck, let me know in the comments lol.

First drag version of this truck iv seen and now I want one!
Looks so cool 😎
Me too
Add a gyro and I'm in. Lol
That truck is such a good looking rig, but as a drag truck, it's another level. Just like a 'run what you brung' session, somewhere in the southern states of the US. Awesome. 🤘🏻
Cheers dude... it was a crazy idea one evening.. and it turned out pretty good!
@@TomleyRC A RWYB is how things should start up here ,then some bracket racing keep it fun but fair.bbq & refreshments.
It's not just the southern states, we race diesel trucks everywhere 😂
@@barneymiller7894 I stand corrected. 😁👍🏻
That looks sick
Caught me off guard with that 1. Some serious thinking outside of the box. Well done and continued success with that 1!
Awesome Build Tomley! You are such a sympathetic person! Every new video put me a big smile on my face. Thanks a lot mate for making all that superb content! 🙌👍🥳💪😎🔥
Appreciate it dude. Cheers 😎👍
That is cooooool. Looks great. Love the drag setup
Awesome build, Tomley! Runs nicely! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks dude
Great job 👍 always nice to see different content from your channel 🙏
Cheers dude
lowered looks sooo good especially with those drag tires filling up the dually well
That is the exact thing I was thinking that rc would be awesome for. Great minds think alike. Thanks Tom.
Haha... cheers dude
Cool truck, I like it. Nice to a different build. 👍👍👍
Thank you 😎
That looks absolutely madd. Good job
Thanks mate 😎👌
Looks like a lot of fun
Nice to see how you can push the boundaries of RC cars and trucks and make them how you want
Yes... the hobby is so diverse!
Thats a slick build
You are a "Super Genius".....that is so cool....great video...can't wait for you to get that thing to hookup......👍
Haha... cheers Paul
This looks great. I want to build one now. Looks like something that would take off here in the states. Keep up the great content and look forward to other cool builds.
Thanks dude... it’s certainly a fun build
Hello ! Great look the Drag Truck ! Nice run ! 👍🏻
Thanks 😎👌
45MPH That's not half bad, love this build 👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah not bad for 2s... looking forward to getting this even quicker!
Looks good !
That is Cool!! Keep Working on that! 🏆🤗
Awsome , now some tuning , suspension and aerodynamic mods , splitter/wing and a smooth drag track .
Well as Derric on VGG would say 78.9% it's got breaks but we'll pretend we didn't see that.
Yes...a little tweaking to do 😎🤟
That looks so much fun I never thought about getting a drug car now I think I need one thanks for another good video 👍
Awesome build
Cheers dude
This was awesome, it’s giving me some ideas...
With all due respect, you Sir are a madman! Thank you for share your latest monster 💀
Haha... cheers mate 😎🤟
It looks nice and tidy and fast amazing job 🤩
Cheers Stu
Cool idea nice truck 👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks mate
Being longer and a working gyro has sorted direction, maybe remove the mirrors add a wing like the Traxxas style, get the wheelie bar nearer the ground would help get the front droop to happen quicker so steering is available, yep I think you have invented another class and I would love to see it happen this is the best transition I have seen done to the truck on here and you have nailed it.
Got a few ideas for the next phase 😎👌
This is quite different.
I like !!!!!
Cheers James
Rite on bro. Good job💯👍
Cheers dude
I seen the truck in one of your recent vids and said to myself, no way he made that into a drag truck. Sure shit mate! This is one of the coolest no prep rcs I've seen. What interests me so much is that I want to build a solid axle real scale type of no prep car and you did it with a truck! So cool.
HolycrAP! looks just like my brothers 1/1 scale. Loving the color and insane torque :) PS: Amazed your GPS still works, I really need to pick that one up!
The GPS has certainly been through some tough times lol
⭐Nice build 🔥🔥💯 I'm planning to keep stock ,except for the speed upgrades. Very nice 🙆👍Cheers
Cheers dude. Hopefully I’ve got another coming soon. So one stock... one for drag 😎
Holy crap that's nice,brilliant work on that,frickin beast😈🤘🤙💪💪
Cheers dude 😎👌
Nice one....love your projects even if they are not working as planned ;)
That’s dude. I like to be a little different than the norm
Sweet build!
Cheers dude
Awesome! You get a 🏆 love that truck🚀 💘
Thanks dude
Dope! Good job bro
Cheers mate 😎🤟
Bro you been killing it much respect 💯👊
Cheers dude... appreciate it 😎👌
@@TomleyRC Yw my brother💯
Wow this is Candy YumYumYum. That Esc is 60 amp huh. Those white strips on the tires are so clean. And the gps safely nestled away…..yaaaaah me likey. I’m building a couple different drag Riggs one of which is a Midnight Pumpkin that I hope to get to 1.0 g…. Your content is always on mark good Buddy
Midnight pumpkin sounds cool.... I have a Lunchbox project that may also be going that way to 😎👌
That is awesome!!! 👏
Cheers dude
And you made a dregster out of it😂👌awesome work
👍👍👍👍👍👍🖕🖕👍👍👍👍🇬🇧👍👍👍
I love this build! I'm glad you're taking it in a different direction. Please find a gyro setting that allows controlled wheelies too.
Yes... I’d love to have this thing with the front wheels up!
My plan is to do this to my Cen when it retires from the RC tow world. I'm pretty sure my 450 will crush it on 8s xmaxx power. Looking forward to it. Nice build
Hells yea cool build buddy 👍
Cheers dude
Looks prefect for a drag truck.
Amazing video
I just got some Traxxas bead lock short course wheels that fit Drag tyres perfectly. They also work on the rear of the 124018 and 124019 and disabling the front diff can make an on or off road Drag car with the Drag slicks or dirt tyres they came with.
Sounds awesome
More..... Speed, not more power ! Awesome.
Great build phil, love it !
In 1:1 no prep drag racing you need about as much power as you can use on the top end. We pull lots of power down low and roll it in as the wheel speed comes on to keep traction. You need the big power on the top end so you don't get run down every pass 👍
nice original work, great to see the first. I bet it won't be long before we see other channels doing similar. Except you did it first. Cool! 👍🍺
Cheers Carl
You kept that project tight lipped lol, that is awesome, I expect to see more of them GREAT WORK MAN!!
Yes... been sat I. The back ground on a few vids, but didn’t want to say anything until I’d finished it 😎👍
@@TomleyRC love it man!
First person to do this with this truck as far as i know. And it is awesome congrats on this idea. If i was this company I would just all over this idea. While this no prep is hot. So cool
Yes agree... more people need to be doing it!
Hey tomley! Sick video! Do you know how I can convert the screws for the standard rims to a 17mm adapter/hex for the wheels? I kinda wanna add drag tires in the back for show cuz I love how it looks, Awesome rig 🤘
That is epic!!!!!!!!
Almost at 50k, nice going!
Nearly mate 😎👌
its a very nice looking truck
The team associated truck is awesome.
Well done vid right on 👉🤙☑️
Cheers dude
Different but impressive, love out of the box thinking.
Cheers dude
Nice. To back
Nice rig sir.
Thank you
Out American the Americans with this rc truck I love it now I really want one
Great content 👍
Haha... cheers Jason. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I dig this. I’m not a lifted street truck guy. Slam it and bag it. Now I want one. Lol I need something other than a crawler lol
G ..!! I think you just made a new class. Lol!! Hahahaha!!! 😜😜😜😂🤣😂🤣... its really a hobby .. all about fun.. so I hope they
make a class for these.. that's kool truck you made out of it.
Would be awesome if they had a ‘Truck Class’
Looks really cool you definitely need a lot more travel on the front end though. I'm sure a man of your abilities will make It work 👍
Yes... this was the first go.. a few more tweaks and we should be good 😎
Damn that's nice
You could get a fast pass out of the truck on 3s with a locked diff and good no prep esc and tuning. Pull power down low and bring it in as the wheel speed comes on, same way we do it on 1:1 no prep drag cars in the US. Or since its not class legal anyways, set it up like a irl diesel drag truck, throw another set of slicks on the front with the 3s and send it on some wild 4x4 launches! If you keep it rwd you might want to try to get more down travel in the front suspension, so it will keep the tires on the ground when it lifts the front a bit instead of immediately pulling the tires off the ground. If you can pair slack downtravel in the front with decently stiff uptravel/bump stiffness it will set back on the rear tires and stay there 👍
I forgot about this one!
Looks sharp. Neat idea. You'll hit 50 mph soon I bet.
That body looks sick fair play will deffo go better with locked diffs my typhon 6s kept pulling to the left ive put 2 million diff fluid in now it goes as straight as a arrow great video as always tomley 👍 and a awesome truck
Yes... locked diffs and a little gear change next 😎👌
@@TomleyRC yeah its gunna be sick dude cant wait to see it 👍👌
Out of the Budget 3650/3660 (540/550) size brushless motors you have tried, what brand would you suggest the best option to put in the Vantage 2.0 buggy to run 2s & 3s. Onroad/offroad blasting around, will also be changing the spur to metal to run brushless.
Surpass Hobby are decent. 3200-3800kv will be plenty
It's the Dr10!
Would them duel wheels not be any good for stability for the speed run? Forgive me still pretty new to all the modding lol
What about a trx4 rear axle with a portal delete, and the option to lock/unlock the rear end? Also an ifs front suspension swap could help with stability, as well as some extra strong sway bars lol
Love it maybe they will make a truck class.
Hopefully!
Thats so fkn badass man great idea…. Im working on awd drag car (subie or mitsubishi) after fwd drag
Fwd Drag sounds awesome 😎👌
@@TomleyRC sounds like you just helped me decide priority
Whats so crazy is I was thinking if doing it because its almost the same layout as the traxxas dragster very good idea
I’ve thought seriously about doing one of these as a speed/lot basher haha
SWEEEEEET.!!
TOMLEY DOES IT AGAIN.! 😜
How about building it with an independent front suspension.??
Yes... that’s a good idea
He'll yeah!! 🇺🇲
I’m the biggest critic in the world sometimes but I have to give credit where it’s due. Good video man!
It would launch harder in 4wd, which is what most of the people with diesel powered trucks run. But I don't know if that would help this go in a straighter line or not. You might try and shorten the upper links or make the lower links a bit longer on the front end to get more caster angle to help it track a little straighter.
Pretty solid start I world say.
Yes... a few tweaks needed. Want to keep it rwd for now
@@TomleyRC You are already off to a good start.
For guys doing speed runs, along with whatever the gyro can do for you, what about messing with expo so the steering isn't so touchy?
Yeah... unusually turn the dual rate down... but could do with some fine tuning
You have a nice watch collection as far as I can tell. What about the classic calculator? Also, 49.1k! AWESOME!👍👍👍
I have a few... I like the retro stuff rather than the flashy expensive stuff.
Adjust your turn trim to 50percent power so it only turns fractions when the wheel is turned
Yeah.. it was down a bit, but not enough 😅
Nice project 💪🏼 u need a drag esc 😁😁
Yes... turbo timing would help for sure
do that lowrider kind of thing at the back then front keep like that ,never done a speedrun car truck but give it a go might work
Yeah... I expect it would be relatively stable with a bit of tweaking
So glad you put single fat tires on the back instead of the duals.
Looks much better that way
Hey, what's going on, partner? Where did you get the rims and tires?
Super duper brother
Oh yes!!!! 😜
So did you ever go back out and get in the 2seconds mark? I have one and now believe I’m going to go on the hunt aswell
You haven't put the locker in yet? That helps keep it straight. Is it still 4 wheel dri😢?
What motor/ESC did you use in it?
Awesome build so far and dude your rocking the watches my friend is that the Pacman Edition Casio I see on your wrist buddy?
Timex Pac-Man edition... love a retro watch... usually don’t wear watches due to my day job, but have been recently 😎
@@TomleyRC that's it Timex not Casio yeah I love a nice timepiece myself. Keep up the stellar work on the RC and Horology fronts matey! 😁👍
We ran same set up. With traxxas tsm radio straight as an arrow
I bet some front suspension work would help it go straight. And open diff up front would help too.
I don't need this, but the want is very very strong 😯
Haha
Great videos. Could you review the Team Corally Mammoth SP?
I have looked at that... maybe in the future 😎👍
Thats some rough looking pavement...never seen it with such large stones? Wow
They have some interesting road surfaces around here 😅
