Yeah we have so many good universities that you can do badly in high school and still go to the best university in your state. As someone going for entry in to that type of school, high school is so easy that I don’t really have to study, even though I’m taking the hardest possible AP classes. In order to get into a really good university you have to have good extracurriculars, sports, volunteering, etc
I also heard that if you’re a kid growing up in South Korea and you don’t follow beauty standards and trends, you’ll get relentlessly bullied in school by other kids. Apparently it’s that bad over there that some children resort to getting plastic surgery from unqualified plastic surgeons and can possibly die from malpractice.
