    Alfie Boe is trained tenor, and one of the best, and you are obviously trained baritone. But, when God has given talents to people, he did not know about our school graduation. I am very grateful that God has given you such a gift, for which you obviously worked hard and reach this level! I have the honor to listen to you. Thank you!

    He is so good!!! Much like Colm he get's the feeling across the song demands. You can sing a song but not everyone puts that emotional connection together. He is one of the best!!

    I was at this show. I had a gig with my jazz big band to warm up for the NJPAC and this guy. I had never heard of him before until that night. My best friend and I were in the band together and then after our sets we put away our saxophones and went to go check this guy out. Colms version is tremendous but this guy cracked our eyes and tore our souls out of my bodies. Bravo Norm Lewis 👊🏾😭

      @@markwilliams1526Norm Lewis is also a baritone known for singing Javert, the lowest part in Les Mis, so it's remarkable he has so much co ntrol in this range as to not go too loud and even added an interpolated high note. BHH is written for a tenor.

    Is he a tenor or high baritone? Remarkable voice!

      Lower tenor who generally sings baritone.

    • @KajiVocals

      Michael J. Marziliano There are women who sing bass. That doesn’t make them baritones and basses. Norm can hit the mid second octave notes (his lowest note is an F2) but it is rather weak and near inaudible. He loses comfort below the A2. He’s a dark tenor, and the way he uses his upper range shows it.

      @aclyte2679 Před 4 lety +3

      Kaji he’s described as a baritone, tenors can’t have that low of a range

    • @aclyte2679
      @aclyte2679 Před 4 lety +2

      Kaji look at his old man river performance that’s definitely a baritone piece, high notes can be achieved by baritones

      @@aclyte2679 Tenors can't have that low range? Brendon Urie, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Johnny Mathis to name a few, can go significantly lower with way more strength and projection than Norm. Norm's voice sounds better up high and he sounds far more comfortable. I listened to his entire discography and he genuinely does B-flat 4s more often than B2s.
