Being in the hospital is a two edge sword. Modern medicine is great and saves peoples lives, but you also don’t have autonomy and your home. You really appreciate medical personnel. Hope you got home tomorrow. Take care of yourself.

Hospital is where I'll be August 27th for my 8th back surgery. After this I don't want anymore.

Even though being in the hospital for 5 days is not the best case scenario, I feel grateful that you were taken care of and things didn’t get worse for you. I hope they can release you tomorrow as planned. Stewie will be so happy to see you again. Can you get a ride from your son so you don’t need to drive? I’m not sure it’s safe with all the meds they’ve been giving you that will still be in your system. Sending you continued healing thoughts and prayers.

Thankful your starting to get better you need to take care of yourself better,if you don’t your going to wind up back in the hospital and we don’t want that. It’s hard to be alone ,I know living that way myself but we need to listen to our bodies there telling us something’s not right. This is dixie from texas, glad everything went well. Let them take care of you, but try and leave because the longer you stay in you can get staff infection from the hospital, so you need to get home so you can clean yourself.

It's helpful to lightly press on where your infection was.. it keeps stuff from pooling up in small infected pockets. Keeps tissue fluids moving just be careful of your drainage tube. It's good you may be going home tomorrow. There's no place like home. Take care.

I hope you mend quickly...tooth infections are only a hands width from your heart and your brain...I have perment heart damage from repeated tooth infections.

It's easy to say that one could live somewhere else until they are away from the one's and things that they love and reality sets in .
It's easier to think that one is better off alone until a time of need appears out of nowhere and it's nearly impossible to find a helping hand .
Unfortunately a lot of older folk are finding themselves in this situation these days infact it's becoming an epidemic.
Friends near and far hold them all dear because these days their a rarity ❤ rest Dale 🙏🙏🙏
They have people there that will help you shower and shave that’s what they do. CNAs my granddaughter is one and she loves older people and helping them do stuff like that! Ask if they have any reading material if tv is boring like the newspaper or maybe a hunting/fishing magazine?

Glad to see you doing well Dale I kinda was lost before the first update. I got some dental work needs done and I sure dread it. Back in the early 90s I had a tooth swelled my whole right eye shut I had no insurance so all they would do is antibiotics for me

Dan, make sure you follow up with a dentist. Save teeth you have left. Believe me, you don't want false teeth. Floss,floss, and floss besides brushing. They have a product called " The Doctor's Btush Picks" that are amazing. Pick on one side and little brush on the other side. Amazing and available at Walmart and I am sure other places. I love them!

They have showers in the hospital ask and they will give you a aid to make sure you don’t fall
