Genie Francis always comes across as so warm and gracious on every interview I've ever seen of her. She's the type of person I'd like to meet and have a conversation with. I'm a true fan😊

She bumped the the term dramatic actor. The best crier but when she gave a farewell to Tony( not there) many years later she said you were my soul mate. They played that truer than any Hollywood couple.
I find its hilarious when TG says hes going to make a lamp of the champagne bottle, and Laura said much the same thing when he said he was leaving the rest of the bottle at her place during Christmas 1980.
I can’t stand the View or the ppl on it or what the peddle but was willing to put up w/ them to c Tony & Genie once again. I worked so I never saw this. I loved them and am not a soap fan but LOVED Luke and Laura. Thanks!

I'll never understand why the writers messed up their characters so badly. We all expect a certain level of disbelief in the reality of a soap, but they went completely off the rails especially with Luke's character. I can't figure out why they didn't realize how much it would hurt the show. L and L fans will never accept Luke with Tracy, or as an alcoholic jerk, or any scenario for their future that doesn't have them together. It would be great to have them do a miniseries to get them back together and finally happy before they end it. They really owe it to fans!

Sandy Juntunen Sandy Juntunen I am so glad that I’m not the only person who feels that way. I’ve always said that the “real” Luke would never be interested in someone like Tracy - or vice versa. The writers could have kept L & L still happily married, somehow. I refuse to accept Tracy & Luke are married. In my “GH”, L & L are & have always been happily married. They live on a private island that they bought a few years ago. They bought the island and live under assumed names, to stay hidden from the many enemies they have made over the years.
I promise I’m not crazy, or living in my own little world 😆😆
Sandy, Brenda & Sussex, same here. Loved LUKE & LAURA. Not a fan of soaps but I loved these two. They r truly special. The reason they put Luke w/ Tracy was bc Tony was bored w/ doing to the same old thing. When he came back from time to time it was w/ the understanding that he could do something new. But of course I agree w/ u ladies.
I wonder if Tony had any input in that?
I don't understand why the writers thought they could turn a rapist into a hero and family man. Disgusting. And the way he and Laura treated Nikolas. I seriously can't believe they got away with this $h!t.
It's so hard to watch Rosie and Joy, (not a fan) but worth it to see Genie and Tony :)

LnL are a soap opera institution. It's strange to see Tony/Luke with Jane/Tracy. I think they make great "sparring" partners but don't have any romantic chemistry. I know TG and JE are best friends in real life, and Tony has a lot of privileges with his character, including script approval, and I'm sure he had everything to do with getting Luke and Tracy. I know he was getting weary of LnL after so many years but

The actress who played Tracy is a very close friend to Tony in real life. Even in 2024. They've travelled together.
Genie s finest work was on north and south. loved the part where Bret had to hold Ashton by pitchfork while billy got away.
I thought her performance on North and South was awful. So boring
I have never been a soap watcher but Luke and Laura are the royalty. I’ll watch these two

I just got notice from "Genie Fans" that Laura is Mayor. How ironic, Luke was Mayor in 83. I may just have to tune into GH and find out what is going on. 💕
And you know they have not yet mentioned that Laura has previously lived in the mayor's Mansion Circa 2019 because well...I don't even think they know. GH history is long gone to them and they don't seem to care. 😢
@@sussezqThat’s too bad. I’m not a soap opera fan but I enjoyed the L&L storyline. I even thought they ruined the storyline when they added kids but Lucky was perfectly matched w/ them. Great actor as well. I’ll never understand why Tony didn’t make it to night time tv.

And the nit-so-subtle barb Joy shot at Rosie about the water gun years later became the running joke in a skit on SNL (with Leslie Jones as Whoopie Goldberg shooting a water pistol at the ladies when they got out of hand!)
I love Rosie but I just realized how she sthill thought she was on her old show. She was so excited and rightfully enthusiastic about the guests but she inadvertently dominated the segment with her questions and comments.
@@hotgritz4sho I dunno, I think the other three were kind of clueless about the GH/L&L phenomenon. Behar especially. She didn't even know who Tracy or the Quartermaines are, which tells me she she probably never even watched GH. Ever! I think Rosie pretty much carried the show. She was as enthusiastic as the audience!
