Very similar to konark temple, only the temple remains now, represents a chariot, a UNESCO heritage site, it emerged from the sea...how magnificent the history and our culture is
Temples in Mahabalipuram are based on Pallava architecture, which is a subset of Dravidian architectural style. Konark Temple is a classic example of Kalinga architecture, which is different.

This temple has been discovered even before 2004 tsunami. Actually a murugan temple which is situated 2 km away from this temple was discovered after tsunami.

There are a total of 7 temples. 6 of them are inside the water and only one is left.
What are talking about, there is a Huge shivling inside. Albeit, closed for repair work.
