I recall the naturalist John Muir’s statement: “ Climb the mountains and get their tidings, nature’s peace will flow into you like sunshine into trees”. No helicopter ride to any mountains will ever give you the joy of hiking or climbing mountain trails and this is especially true around such magical mountains as the Matterhorn. Unfortunately commercialization of these beautiful areas is destroying these unique mountain and village areas.

c'était vraiment à couper le souffle, après ça, notre visage a souri sans retenue pendant des jours...
Je l'ai vu depuis l'hélicoptère de loin en vol durant 30 minutes au dessus du Mont Blanc au départ d'Argentière. La haute montagne est fascinante et tellement effrayante.
En hélico c'est vraiment à faire, les pilotes sont des durs à cuire ❤
Je suis d'accord que prendre un hélicoptère et survoler les mointains est vraiment une expérience incroyable ❤ merci de partager la vôtre.

You have to book in advance. We managed to book a few days earlier, when we already had the weather forecast. But obviously it depends on the demand.
No. Locals are fed up with the pollution and the noise generated by the day-in day-out copter moves. Also, wildlife is disturbed by the uninterrupted landings and take-offs. Do you want to admire the Matterhorn? Deserve it: walk along the nicely developed trails leading to the famous mountain.
Then file a complained at Air Zermatt bc they are the ones offering this tour (probably to generate income for their rescue missions).
I really would love to do this flight but I would also sigh with great relief when we landed safely. A big thank you for posting this amazing video.

Yes of course, the Matterhorn is incredibly beautiful and radiates a certain reverence. Nevertheless, there are so many other mountain landscapes that move me deeply and inspire me to respect nature even more. Happy holidays to everyone.

You have no idea just how dangerous this is, flying in a single engined heli when the company and pilot completely ignores the possibility of engine failure. In some countries this would be illegal. There is just no where to do an an engine off landing. So it’s fatal. A minor fault and again no where to land. Having experienced 3 engine failures in my 49 years flying these things I can tell you it does happen! They should use a twin engined machine.
I can only imagine the hazards you can encounter.. thank you for sharing 🚁

You're right. getting to the Italian side of the Matterhorn and seeing the incredibly beautiful mountain landscapes is exciting and touching every single time I have the chance to experience :-) Mountains, nature are so beautiful.
