Toph at 11: what are you doing here, Twinkle-Toes? Toph at 40: fine...follow me Twinkle-Toes. Toph at 87: hehehe...nice to see you again Twinkle-Toes! I just how strong Aang and Toph's bond is in the series.
Roku: "Some friendships are so strong, they can even transcend lifetimes". Toph: "Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?" Toph: "Nice to see you again, twinkle toes". This is a comment that's under every Korra 4x2 reaction. So I'm just doing my part.
Anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have clinical, severe depression.. Korra and how she's presented here.. Is so real.. And so sad. :( such a real depiction of real life struggle.
Also girls note Korra's physic...she's isn't as strong as she use to be. They really dive into PTSD and the impact it comes with it...from physical, emotional, and mental... Love this series
@@Deined LOL. True, I guess I didn't even read past their attempt to spell "psyche" to realize they meant her mental state, and not physical state i.e. "physique"
@@LTLC You know what? You may be right in that the OC could've been referring to Korra's physique. She did lose some muscle mass due to barely being able to move for herself for so long.
The swamp arc coming full circle. It is capable of reproducing past, present and future. Aang saw a vision of Toph living there at Season 2, and it kinda become her resting place on Legend of Korra
Please remember that when yall watch the final episode. When it’s over film a reaction of you two watching the original alternate ending. Y’all gonna lose it.
I believe this is actually the first time we are introduced to this swamp. I believe you are thinking about the Spirit Wilds that are IN republic City. This swap - as we see in the shot where Korra and the puppy are standing on the hilltop - is obviously outside the City. Not like miles and miles away, but also not in the center of Down Town like the Spirit Wilds are.
4:48 If I had a nickel for *_every time Diegesis watched a show with a main character getting paralyzed,_* I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
Awesome Episode! I was a bit worried because I think on some streaming platforms the subtitles have her name while she's speaking but apparently this one didn't so they were surprised even though Arianna Called it 🤣🤣 They really do be good at calling stuff. If they ever react to AOT, I'd love to see how many stuff they'd be able to predict 🤣🤣
I'm more inclined to just believe that Korra has simple PTSD. The whole detached from her avatar self is just WAY TOO far to be grasping at. lol. I mean Korra went through some shit. Downplaying it by saying it's actually a spiritual thing and not just her own inner demons, is unfair to her trauma.
So here's what I gather about Korra seeing her double. Her Trauma is manifesting this illusion because she needs to work out some things; and when she gets attacked by her other self, she's actually bending AT herself subconsciously. Also This is a World where The Avatar is actually possessed by a Spirit. They share a soul and Ravva reincarnates that person once their life has ended. So in some way Ravva is trying to get Korra to LISTEN. even though Ravva can't actually speak TO Korra like she did to Wan, it can still communicate.
I'm surprised how few people here have acknowledged the obvious and intentional similarities between "Korra Alone" and A: tLA's "Zuko Alone". I'm including Maple and Ariana, too, especially since they watched Zuko Alone months prior to recording this.
@@Diegesis Fair enough. I'm watching several new movies and TV episodes a week myself and I'm finding it a little tougher to digest them than when I watched at a more "normal" pace. Doesn't really explain why more long-time Avatar and TLoK fans haven't pointed out their similarities, though.
WOOHOO Toph is back. Except for Zuko, prolly my favorite character. I know I've complained a bit about this series in the past. I have enjoyed revisiting it via these reactions...but not enough to really re-watch it. And this episode is a good example why. I do like how this story line explores what veterans have to deal with. Injuries, ptsd...etc. I do have a caveat with the injuries... And it's not just this show.... Luke Skywalker gets a hand chopped off, and he just gets a new robot hand. Korra, eventually just gets back to normal... same thing. But, at least they tried... I do feel for Korra at this point, but then she ruins all the good will generated by becoming a petulant child and taking it on anyone around her, that being the only characters that give a shit... I did't think there was anything worse then a weak or horrible antagonist... But, a protagonist you don't care about or outright annoys you, comes close... Also, this is just my worthless opinion... If you dig this show, good on ya. Guess I'm just venting a little. I remember really looking forward to this and at the outset, despite all of it's good qualities...didn't like it as much as I though I would have. I even own a good chunk on it, as about half wy though, Nickolodean's website stopped streaming it, and I started buying the episodes on Amazon...
tbh i don't like season 4 as much as the 3 first ones it isn't my cup of tea, but this episode and the conclusion are masterpieces for me, the whole Korra's growth is so good and i prefer it to Zuko(zuko second place for me), but kuvira and the overall season is ok not amazing
I wonder if 'Slim' the catgator (pet of Tho and Due) has any descendants in the swamp that are on good terms with Toph? Or would she just eat them if they ever crossed paths? Catgator nuggets, stew, no? More for me then.
This episode always breaks my heart. The way Korra says "I'm tired, Katara. I'm so tired." really gets to me.
Yes! Same😢
“Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?”
“Nice to see you again Twinkle Toes.”
"Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?" - Toph, ATLA

Friendships last lifetimes for the Avatar.

It's the "twinkle toes" that gets me to tear up
1:27 Yeah, their bond is definitely one of my favorites! The way the Korra/Mako/Asami love triangle resolves is the best way to do it, imo.

It's "physique" not "physic"..
@@LTLCHeh, you're _both_ wrong.
The word is "psyche".

The mirror episode to Zuko alone 😭🤍🙏🙏🙏
This is my favorite episode of season 4.
This episode is actually Korra herself, Janet Varney's, favorite episode!
As an Aussie, I still chuckle every time Mabel says, ‘Erh Ner.’
Please remember that when yall watch the final episode. When it’s over film a reaction of you two watching the original alternate ending. Y’all gonna lose it.
did yall realise that the woman at 0:59 is voiced by the person who eventually voices old toph at the end of the episode...great foreshadowing
I have my crying tissues ready.
I was too late
15:25 Toph! 🥲
hell yeah, I love the "Alone" episodes. I stopped watching the live action to watch this reaction

Twinkletoes!
korra's ptsd is really hard to watch

that twinkletoes line gets me emotional every time i swear!
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of The Legend Of Korra!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
That twinkletoes always got me tears 😅
Toph gotta show Korra some Tough love lol
This episode right here is a good example of why patience isn't always a good thing.
9:33 classic aang

If young Katara facing angry Korra: fine! let's make it quick! (starts bloodbending Korra)
Lol I love how they don't see it between Korra and Asami xD
👍🏾
And history will say they were Best Friends 😅lol
I honestly wished they would pause when they talked. sometimes it feels they miss so many great scenes.
this is why the legend of korra is can't be hated
Man it hurts seeing korra like this, i know how it feels, it feels horrible.
Maple has had her ankles savaged by a little white crusty dog.

I'm wondering if you guys have reacted to Doctor Stange, because there's a similar healing process in that movie to this episode.

Yay the legend of Jenora- I mean Korra
It was hot and sokka feel in a hole 😂😂😂 next episode is Peak Toph 😊
Korra in the first ep as a baby. Is as much as she growns
Haha I disagree but it's still very funny haha
Girl... I'm not even gonna acknowledge the other show, I'm just gonna wait till this whole thing blows over 😑
NOT sisters from another misters 😭😭😭
