2012 Fairy Festival with Rockford Dance Company at Womanspace: Maypole Dance

Twelve dancing fairies from Rockford Dance Company performed a Maypole dance choreographed by new Artistic Director Matthew Keefe as over 250 fairies and fairy-lovers enjoyed the 4th annual Fairy Festival at Womanspace in Rockford IL. Families and guests of all ages strolled the grounds and art gallery at Womanspace, while fairies led a scavenger hunt through the beautiful gardens, the magical pine forest, and out onto the Labyrinth on the prairie. There were ballets performed on the green by Rockford Dance Company and guests made fairy crowns and wands to take home. Wonderland Books & Toys and Faeriefeather Design joined us with fairy delights to purchase and Alter Ego Face & Body Paint had a never-ending line of little fairies awaiting their artistic talents. Some guests came early & brought their own picnic to savor on the lawn.
